Wow, such a comprehensive breakdown of mastering cold calling! The key is mirroring the prospect's tone and guiding the conversation skillfully. Great insights!

Patrick's insights on instant likability are spot on. Adding to that, it's crucial to tailor your opening line to the prospect's recent business news or achievements-it shows genuine interest and sets the stage for a more engaged conversation. Remember, it's not just about selling; it's about building a connection.

Patrick, I remember asking you a question related to this, but I have another question. When I call the US, many people perceive me as a scammer because I have an Indian accent. I am also training to adopt an American accent, but it will take a lot of time; however, I am doing this daily. What do you think I can do so people don't perceive me as a scammer? I sell digital marketing services

For example: "Sir, I have to say one thing and I want to be completely honest: Most people think I'm a fraud because I have an Indian accent. Even you might think that at some point. And yes, I am from India, but I honestly want to impress people with my service. Will you give me the chance to do that?"

Hi Patrick. How's it going? I have a question for you. I entered a BDR position a couple months ago and your videos have brought a tremendous amount of knowledge. I appreciate you. My question: What should I try to achieve while walking the floor of a industry related event for the first time? I'm going to be attending an upcoming Space Symposium and I sell Ansys solutions in short. My primary target audience includes engineers and this event is primarily bringing sales reps to sell their respective products. Please let me know if you need clarification. A few tips would be very helpful and I think it'd make for a great video topic. Hear from you soon. Best, Sehej Anand.

Hey Patrick, I want to become a great sales person. Im getting all this knowledge on tonality and objection handling... But you cant learn to dance if you dont start to move. Is there any cold calling or what ever opotunities you could give me? i would only get payed if you closed a prospect i give you. i would be able to work for like 90 mintues a day. I understand its a leap of faith you need to trust me. But im just trying to become a master at sales and need something to do it on.

Hey, i was as a appointment setter myself for the past 6 months, hopefully this msg allows me to share with you what i have learned so far. I was a cold calling agent for a windows company. In my opinion, I think you should focus on a couple things mentioned on this video. 1. Tone: i was never really taught what that means, but he mentioned that how you speak should match with your prospect's tone is something i picked up along the way. Initially i just slow down when elderly people pick up the phone for them to hear me clearly. People with lower energy initially, if you only sound excited you just sound salesy. TLDR: Match your client's energy. 2. Research: not mentioned here but i feel like i should bring this up. B2C with a phone book can't do that, so don't focus too much on this. You will get the chance to do this later when you get a full sale cycle job.( Maybe, starting at Dell early May) 3.speed: dun go too fast, dun go too slow. Again, match the client. 4. Names: I noticed even though i might always close a deal, but mentioning the client's name a few times more than normal seems to keep them on the line for at least a couple more seconds. Usually use it to bring their attention back to the conversation, or just simply say mr. Xx a couple times at the beginning of the call. Obviously i only started not long ago, stay strong and keep at it!

Seeking tech sales career advice: I'm a junior data engineer pondering a shift to tech sales. Friends and colleagues think I've got what it takes. But I'm torn. Is it wise to invest more time in data engineering for stability? Then I could explore sales roles later. My main worry is hitting 30 soon. Still, I believe the right opportunity is worth the wait. Your thoughts are welcome.
