I love watching you work Terry, my grandad used to do a lot of woodwork back in the day. I spent my childhood in the shed with him, love the smell of sawdust. Brought back memories, thanks. 🐨🌻🕊️💖

Hey mate thanks for watching 👍 yes mate I’ve tried burning onto bamboo and mate I struggled with it but it still worked out great after I sanded it with 180gritt lightly over the board setting I just left it on normal at 60 power and speed 1200 👍you will just have to play with your settings and do some testing on the boards to get it right for what you design will be as it’s not like normal timber 👍

Just a crazy question, what laser is that ? I do some cutting boards for clients on a atom stack m50 pro but I burn them at 6000/60 I think I could help you with some settings to make that 100% faster

  • @HandcraftedByTerryG

Hi @6creeder688 I'm using the Atomstack S10 Pro it has a 10W laser head module. There is so many questions im not sure what type of timber you are using or program to run your laser engraver but i think you need to run some test and see what the best settings for your laser engraver. Try running a material test that way you know the best settings for your laser engraver. do you have a air pump for your engraver. I watch a guy by the name Rich Louisiana Hobby Guy and he has some fantastic testing ideas that might help you to stop burning your projects. Thanks for watching 👍

@@HandcraftedByTerryG lol I think you misunderstood, you should have been able to run that image in about 30min, my lasers run about 5-6 hours a day every day there are 2 settings that could be changed that most people have no clue about that you could change and make it 100% faster
