@@AmitRamkissoon it was delicious! I used the syrup from tinned apples which I will use for something else instead of apple juice (I don't like having sugary drinks in the fridge) and it turned out really yum

That curry was a poor, thin gruel. Rather than cornstarch, which is not the way to go, make a proper roux of oil, flour, curry powder, some tomato paste, worcestershire and just a wee bit of grated apple. Adjust per your liking, add/substitute ingredients, etc... but it should never be thickened with corn or potato starch! Also, katsu that isn't beaten flat before breading isn't proper. You want that tenderization.
Thanks for sharing the Japanese curry recipe. I always buy the Japanese curry packages and mixed with veggies. Now I can have home-made curry at home.
This channel makes it difficult to dine out. I want my meal the way Marion cooks it.

Marion, you’re the best! Truly! Thanks for sharing your love of food with the world ❤
I don't follow many people here on KZread, but this Marion is really worth it. Her curry dishes are the best and easy to make. Thanks Marion, and please continue creating new and inspiring dishes
I made this for dinner tonight and it was a hit! My kids and hubby are very picky but they loved this! So amazing and yet so simple. Thank you Marion :) ❤️
You are so calm well mannered and nice person. Thank you and im really enjoying ur tutorials..
Always following your videos, Marion! I appreciate the Japanese curry from scratch as the block stuff available at the markets tends to have palm oil to provide shelf stability and longevity over taste. Excited to be able to make it from scratch at home now!
I love that u make the curry from scratch! Most of other japanese curry video use pre-made boxed japanese curry. Even the japanese videos too!
Marion! You have read my mind! Me and my boyfriend had Japanese curry last night and I was telling him that I wanted to learn how to make it! Surprisingly I see that you uploaded this video!!
Another lovely recipe of a classic. Love your channel
You ROCK Mrs. Marion..ive got a soft spot for a good Curry!! 😊 💞
I literally can't stop making this dish, for ourselves, and for everyone else who visits. Never tried it with Japanese curry powder, just uses a medium store bought one. Delicious ...
Marion, you make this look so easy. All from scratch is awesome.
also if you want like a super authentic great version of this slow cook apples with the onions instead of using apple juice it adds a good consistency and makes it closer to what you can find in Asia I find.
Love this Marion, thanks!
I’m so happy to find your channel! Love your style!
I love your left hand wet hand n right hand dry hand method!!
Thank You Marion!! Been waiting for you to make some curry recipe video

Hi Marion! Love Katsu and love this recipe - I just made it today with some small adjustments, it's much better than anything I've had from a takeaway! ☺️
Delicious, today only tasted. Loved it..
💯 AMAZING CURRY 💯 Its so good and beautiful! I want to try this but.. the ingredients to make curry in here are too expensive 😥 Anyways, love your videos ma'am! (As always 😄😄)

i work at a christian camp in taupo and i did this today, they loved it. Thanks!!
I visited Malaysia last year, and ordered this at a Japanese restaurant. they served it exactly like this!
Another lovely recipe. I love curry, but I don't believe I've had this style before. I will have to give it a try. :)
Ugh, you're killing me Marion 😩 best chicken katsu I had was when I went to Australia. Love your recipes, you have that special cook seasoning hand as my mom says 😅
So yum!!!
This looks tasty. What brand of cookware do you use?
Very nice recipe
I like your choice in which dishes you feature
One can customise the sauce any way one wishes of course - Marion's looks beautifully home-made and definitely not a ready-made / instant one. But if anyone wants a thicker, more uniform texture, using apple puree is one commercial secret - it adds body, sweetness and a smooth texture to the sauce, and you can also puree everything with a stick blender. That way, it looks more like a commercial sauce, but still much better as there's no MSG or additives, less salt, less oil etc. if you or your family cannot consume certain those.
Its looks very yummy...use of apple juice is a revelation...will try it...with Pakistani twist...
Another trip to the Asian grocers to get some Japanese curry powder! I'm also stoked because I found the other day they have SKIN ON thigh fillets, which is like hitting the jackpot in Australia because all the regular supermarkets take the skin off!!

Hi Marion I love your recipes. I Usually the meat is cooked in the curry so this is intriguing for me. And very appealing to have that crispy bite either all the flavour of curry What else could you use the curry sauce with. You voice is intoxicating apart from your gentle demeanour. I watch all your videos Gloria from South Africa
When I make chicken katsu, I season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Makes it taste really good.
One of my favorite dishes. Though I prefer to avoid the honey and apple juice. I'm not big on the sweet notes. One thing I've always wanted to try.. is thickening the curry not with dlour, but with blending or pulverising some of the vegetables.

Zwordsman that’s a great idea! Love it and will totally try that! Great to get more veggies always!
And I'm gonna make this later in my week
You had me at Katsu!
I Love U Marion 💗
It was so simple and easy .... Will it be too sweet?
Leftover curry sauce with chips the next day!!!!!! Guilty pleasure!
katsu curry really good !!!!!!!
I made Katsu today and it turned out amazing! Thank you so much for the recipe from scratch! For all of you wondering: use the apple juice! It does magic!
Wet hand dry hand method really a life saver. My fingers had more breading than my chicken all the times >_
Going to try that soon, it's my boyfriends favorite dish and since he's a lil' baby, I have to cook for him :D Is the apple juice optional, btw? I'm not really an apple fan so do I just skip it or substitude it with something? :)

Hi Marion, if I was to make this curry for 8 people, could I put the chicken on a bed ( full tray) of rice and then add the curry and a dash of the pickled ginger ?
hi Marion! are your products available in Bangkok?
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE CHICKEN KATSU 😍❤️
Can we use any kind of store brought apple juice?
Just made this myself. My nose is kinda blocked so honestly I can't QUITE say it turned out good (since flavor and blocked noses don't...you know), and I especially can't tell if the apple juice made a difference since it's actually my first time making curry. The chilli flakes gave it a good kick though.
Love your recipes. Does the curry need soy sauce? You listed it as an ingredient but it wasn't mentioned in the video. Can't wait to try this!

I have to keep reminding myself that Italian breadcrumbs still exist because ever since I discovered Panko bread crumbs I've basically discarded all others from my pantry. Ironically, I'm Italian.
Can I substitute rice vinegar for apple cider vinegar or white vinegar?
