Then again I think it's going a bit far to asume he reacted a certain way, because some other people would do so. That is a bit stereotypical. For Instance, I am German, however I don't take any offence against jokes about our language, or some specific jokes with historic context to Germanys dark past. In addition to being informative, I absolutely love the cinematography on this video. It is just visually stunning, from the outdoor scenes all the way to your kitchen and food handling. Superb job, seriously!

My Grandma Ruby made Indian curry for us once. Very involved, including opening and grating a fresh coconut. She used the grated part and the milk to make it. It was absolutely delicious. I don't remember what all she put in it but I DO have the recipe somewhere, along with her recipe for Chicken Pilau.

It's pretty easy to do with dragonflies. If you wave your finger in a circular motion while slowly moving your hand towards a dragonfly, it will become "hypnotized" and super docile as a result. I think it has to do with the way their compound eyes work.

All is very nice ! The meal, the colors, your plants, the music, and the beginning with the butterfly.

I am always left satisfied watching your video. Great production values and theres a lot of thought and care in producing the recipe from gathering ingredients, prepping them and then cooking it to even plating it. The cats and the music and little trips to nature help bring it all in. 13 minutes can go by fast without even realizing it. I grew up to Japanese curry and I still get a craving for its homestyle and rustic flavors!

These videos have such a calming and friendly aura! It's also really neat to see Jun getting the ingredients before he starts cooking. I think it's a really nice touch and it feels like a little journey. I used to have katsu and curry at work all the time. There is a trick you can use where you move your hand toward and away from it several times and it kindof hypnotizes the butterfly. Not sure if that's what he did here tho

the opening scenes are always so, so, so relaxing and refreshing, it's hard to explain but the atmosphere and scenery melts into me, like butter on toast it's such a nice feeling... i want a 24 hour compilation of all the gorgeous scenery and, of course, glorious walks of Jun with Haku!!

"Too bad your viewers can't see how pretty we are" they sound like some lovely people this is why I love Japan especially in the more rural/farming areas

Everyone's talking about how the butterfly landed on Jun's hand but no one is talking about the shot at 1:07. Like my god Jun is like the lion whisperer but for domestic cats. Also also I can see why more people want to see him dicing up the veggies-he's just....he makes it so EASY AND EFFORTLESS is Jun a god of cooking?

Yes!! Definitely a beautifully skilled artist and his subject is food!!!! Just like god masterfully crafted everything, Jun does the same with most everything he does. How well his cats are trained his beautiful videography the way he treats his wife cats and everyone else and then his food!!! Just pure talent and skill!

it takes practice but also you have to have a very sharp knife to make quick and clean cuts. a lot of people don't really need to maintain their knives in the same way that he would.

@@princessjello I thought I had a good knife set but DAMN his must be off the chains good. But I understand why-while I enjoy cooking, I just don't enjoy it on the level he must to maintain his knives and get such high quality knives at that. The way he cooks is indeed like an art, where I just try and make different meals during this quarantine to try new things, he really really enjoys it and it's easy to see that. I'd probably enjoy cooking more if my cat didn't try and get in in on the action every time I cook lol. I try and place him up on the fridge so he can watch safely, but he just jumps right back onto the counter and I spend half the time worrying about him lol.

I love that shot of the red spider Lilies! Those are my second favorite flower! Thank you for always capturing such lovely scenery in your videos Jun! You are awesome!
