I made this but wanted the fattiness of real cheese so I added 1/3cup deodorized coconut oil. It makes it so much more unctuous and oozy and is ten times richer.

Wowl! I made this cheese today. I opted to cut the recipe in half (just in case :-)). It came out pretty great. Took a bit longer to cool than I expected but it was worth the wait. Thank you so much. Now that I know the basics, I think I'll spice it up some next time I make it. Thanks again for the awesome recipe.

I made the recipe exactly according to the instructions and got ... spicy jelly. Not similar in texture to cheese. Luckily Agar Agar is reversible and can be re-heated. I put the "Jelly" in the pot. In the blender I ground a cup of almond flour with 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tsp. of tapioca flour and a 1/4 tsp. of white miso and added the batter to the pot. I cooked till it was almost boiling and re cooled it. Now I have cheese!

Lau S.M. that is better for pizza cheese and this cheese is all so stringy when melted. Not as stringy is mozzarella but is stringy as I remember a grilled cheese. American cheese doesn't string all that much but it does get gooey. Yum!

Help! I watched this video a few times but for some reason I forgot a step being the part where you warm up your milk/nutritional yeast mixture... I just added it to my vitamix and heated up the agar water mixture in the pan. Sooo, my cheese is not hard like it should be to grate and slice even after being in the fridge for 24 hours :( is there anyway I can save it!? Maybe heat it back up in the pan with some more agar mixture? Or should I just scrape it and try again?
