Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Style Raisin Twist Bread
Raisin Twist Bread is one of my favourite Hong Kong-style bread, but sometimes those in bakeries are too sweet for me. Baked by yourself can reduce a little sugar, still delicious and healthier!
▷Ingredients for 8 pcs:
Strong flour 300g
Active dry yeast 4g
Sugar 25g
Salt 3g
Egg 1 (50g)
Warm milk 170g
Unsalted butter 20g
Fillings:
Unsalted butter 20-30g
Sugar
Raisins 90g
▷Suggested fermentation time:
First fermentation 1 hour
Second fermentation 30-40 minutes
▷Baking information:
Bake at 175°C for 18 minutes

The Chinese bakery next to my old job in Manhattan used to make these and they were delicious. I was obsessed with them every morning. These look exactly like them. Might try to make them one day. Just wish the instructions were in darker text.

因為我在冷氣房加上用的雞蛋也是雪櫃拿出來立即用,所以可保持24-26度。如果你的工作地方是比較熱可用常溫/凍牛奶呀😊

First fermentation around 1 hour (doubled in size) 😊

Yes you can always use stand mixer to knead the dough, but be aware that volume and temperature of liquid might need to adjust 😊

Hello how many grams of raisins? Also how many grams of butter to spread on the dough before adding the raisins? Thanks!

Hi as I just sprinkled the sugar evenly to dough so I didn’t calculated it exactly.
