In this video I show the process of removing the stock motor & replacing it with a plum quick bandit motor. This motor is designed to work with your stock components of your golf cart and speeds the cart up. Also if your golf cart motor has regen built in, this modification will eliminate the regen braking.

Thanks again and keep posting videos. Also I like to mark the mounting bolt holes on the motor with a black marker to make it easier to align for putting the bolts in.

    So question. I have a 2004 ezgo txt series golf cart that does not have a run tow switch. I have learned for some reason Ezgo did not equip all carts with run tow switches. My cart also has the flip lever forward reverse switch, not the three position toggle switch. My town as of yet does not allow street use of golf carts , however they do allow LSV's. My cart already has almost everything to make it an LSV but by there requirements for LSV it has to do 20mph and not more then 25mph. My cart currently does about 13 to 14mph so can I put a plum quick motor on a 36volt cart? Also does plum quick have a motor that will do this and also increase my torque? I ask about increasing my torque because we also use the cart at campground to pull a tag along 4 seater trailer made from a 1991 club car ds frame and rear axle and main body. I want to make sure if I'm spending the on a new motor that it will be able to handle pulling the tag along trailer along with the weight of up to 8 adults total without ruining or overheating the new motor.. And yes there are some hills in the campground roads to pull but nothing major. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • @Fentertainment

    @Fentertainment

    4 ай бұрын

    What you have is called a series cart. The series carts have the lever under the legs. Now you can still do a navitas ac kit but you will need to change the harness out on the cart as well as purchase a few parts. The whole lsv thing is something that you have to do and apply for, I think here I can get a cart registered for around $799 after I get everything for it. On a series cart like you have a controller will only give you more torque but a motor will give you speed. Yes you can get a motor from them to speed up the cart however most of the time they require you to have a good battery pack or lithium and a aftermarket controller. If you are going to be pulling a trailer with more adults then I would get a torque motor. I would also get an aftermarket controller to deliver the amperage needed to haul that load.

    I just had the code changed on my stock 2014 Club Car. I'm Getting 21-22 mph on 3 year old batteries with everything lubed up properly and 25psi in the stock tires. This is 5 mph gain. My Dealer did this for FREE.

    Not for nothing gentleman but we use these exact golf carts on the majority of our properties and just last year we got a new one and a week later had to call the guy out to take a look at a battery had a dead cell he plugged in an iPad to that middle port underneath the cupholder and with the push of a button and the slide of a finger he gave us at least 22 mph it’s all in the programming

    @@luxurylivinginparadisecom1541 That's a good idea. Since I have both and if you had both carts completely stock side by side. The ezgo would be a cheaper option than the precedent by a few hundred but the precedent in my opinion is a nicer cart. Maybe I should make a video.

    get a 4wd one for off road. And consider clearance. or side by side, Ranger EV is electric. Gas will be more powerful tho, so if you wanted to put a snow plow on or whatever.
