Fentertainment

Hey I'm Ryan Fenters and Welcome to the Fentertainment Channel. This channel is dedicated to all things diy! From building, fixing or modifying anything I can think of.

The channel name is a playoff of the word entertainment and My last name (Fenters) minus the "s". This name was created in 2005 when I made my first all stock inside bluetooth cooler. In 2018 I made an updated version bluetooth cooler video that you can watch right here on the channel.

I've never been a fan of leaving anything in their stock form, I like to personalize them to my liking and show others how I did it along the way. Grab some popcorn, Click a video and enjoy your stay.

I appreciate your time that you took from your schedule to see what I have to say. Thank You ~ Ryan Fenters

    Do you have a ny recommendations for 70volt setups???? Just got another cart which has 48v of lead acids. Already got the Navitas AC kit installed and want to go to 70 volt soon. But most people dont talk about the 70v setups. I have watched your videos but they are not really current.

    Don’t mess up a good cooler by adding a drain plug. I have a yeti roadie 24 and I use a piece of clear half inch tubing from Lowe’s to siphon out the water. I leave the cooler in the back of my truck and let the water drain onto the ground. Works as well or better than a plug.

    Ryan, if you want to know more about Uno, and their batteries, or the owner, reach out. That blue "hot wheels" golf cart they featured in all of their promos is mine, I loaned it to them to figure out why their batteries kept failing, and they broke the contract in the end. I have 3 failed Uno units, and probably have more experience dealing with Trent and Nick than anyone. I have 1 taken apart on my bench as well. Great videos on the teardown. I did one too, but never got around to edits/posting. Glad to see someone making use of all the cells.

  • @Fentertainment
    @Fentertainment2 күн бұрын

    The cells have been great. I think since the bms was placed in all that foam, that was the problem for them. If they would've designed it a little better with a serviceable bms then it would've been a good battery. I talked with both trent and nick for a while but then they told me the batteries were being shut down and I haven't spoken to neither since. What are you doing with your battery cells?

  • @grandprixfamily
    @grandprixfamilyКүн бұрын

    @@Fentertainment I want to find a BMS that will work and try to save the packs. I bought 2 to run in tandem/paralell, and redesigned my battery tray around doing just that, so they sat farther back closer to the motor. Left me tons of storage room in the cart. Id really like to make use of them. I can do what you are doing, but with 2 packs worth, It'll take me 300 years to use all those cells. LOL . I have 2 confirmed failures, and this 3rd pack I limped along seems to be on its way out. Sitting idle, not hooked to charger or the cart, it has been over 110 degrees on the BMS side of the case for over 50 hours. Battery state of charge is slowly dropping, and its staying consistently heated and hot to the touch even though outside air temp is 60-70'ish degrees where it is stored. I suspect that one now has a full on short in the BMS that is working its way into full out failure. Does not stay charged for more than a week or so, and battery life is severely diminished. Ill take that one apart here soon as well. My first pack blew a hole out the side of it about an hour into its first use. I was one of the earlier adopters, and a vendor. (I have a video of that posted) That's when Nick and Trent got on the phone with me and they couldn't figure out why it was happening, said they had other failures. I offered up my cart, it got shipped from WA to their facility in Idaho, and they did all the testing, etc, redesigned the BMS, did those videos you clipped in that have my cart in them that they have since taken down. (they were served a cease and desist to stop using my cart in promotional videos, since they violated the terms of our contract, they ignored that until going belly up). We used to talk regularly, all kinds of engineering info, and Id have my input being pretty savvy (ASE Master Tech). They claimed to have it all fixed, but then "forgot" to give my cart back. (were supposed to have it for 30 days, with extensions available if I agreed. After they fixed the battery, I got ghosted for a few months until they finally sent my cart back) Finally months later I got it back, with one DOA battery and 1 working. Cart was severely damaged, actually had to go get it back myself from a tow yard, as it never got delivered to me, and went "missing" with no one telling me where it was, its just a whole mess, insurance companies involved, etc, and they left me high and dry. Trent promised via text to get it all taken care of and pay the damages, and never did... We had a written contract and they claimed in writing to take care of any/all damages prior to me loaning the cart. They never did, blocked my phone number even on the main company line, etc. They threatened all the FB groups and forums into removing any posts or comments I made and did everything they could to silence me to keep the real story from getting out about what they did. (I have all the messages from those moderators and owners of those groups with some pretty wild info). I have all the emails, texts, etc. I'm an open book for anyone that wants to see just how big of scumbags those guys are. Honestly, I couldn't be happier they are out of business, and not screwing more people over. Too many people already are worse off after spending all that money for their crap product. Titan battery needs to go too. Hiding behind Titian, after leveraging it to build Uno, just to leave everyone with the useless "10 year made in USA warranty" is just shady. I never had to help them, and got royally screwed by them for doing it. Nick has threatened via text that he is a marine and is going to come kick my ass, etc. just a few months ago, after they were already belly up. Some real pieces of work those guys are. I would collaborate and send my footage over, etc, if interested in releasing the UNO story. Its a doozy, those guys are flat out fraudsters and liars. I've kept every record.

    First off, the fact you thought someone would know more than you in a Navitas forum tells me I need to join! I learn more from you than any single other source. That being said, I would watch every video twice, if you did a Yamaha build series. I don't feel like Yamaha gets the attention of other steel frame carts. Club Car takes the overall option for rebuilds cuz of the aluminum frame... In my opinion.
