How to Make Canh Chua - Vietnamese Sour Soup
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi everyone!! I wanted to share with you how to make one of my all time favorite Vietnamese soups called Canh Chua literally translated to Sour Soup :) I have also heard of it referred to as Tamarind Soup since the tamarind base gives the soup that amazing sour flavor! It is often made with fish or shrimp but this recipe is without any seafood. I hope you all give this recipe a try and let me know how you like it! :)
We have Momteeener joining us again so show her some love! :D

I love the way you eat. Dainty yet makes me hungry and want to try out that soup.... If only I can get some whole taro stems.... I'll add some shrimp since my daughter is crazy about sinigang and shrimp, and this looks like a healthy twist to the usual sinigang we're eating. Thanks for sharing!

I almost squealed when I saw you use a Filipino tamarind soup base. I love sinigang but maybe i would try your soup because it looks so healthy.
oh wow, now i am hungry
When I first saw your comment I thought "wow, that was harsh" but then I read the comment you were replying to then I completely agree with you. lol
hahaha! when i saw the product your using and saw some filipino words...i smiled! yeah its a good soup and its famous here in the Philippines! we call it Sinigang...we can cook it with fish or pork ;)

I've had sinigang soup a bunch of times! My friend, who is Chinese but grew up in Saipan where there are a lot of Filipinos, makes it sometimes, and me and her are the only ones that like it b/c of how "smelly" it is w/ the whole shrimps in it! lol
love this soup =] nom nom nom
oooh i was curious to see how this is different from the filipino variant (sinigang), and i was like, "ah-hah!" when you used the "sinigang" tamarind base. i loooove sour soup :)
In the Philippines, we call it Sinigang. We have varieties of sinigang. Try to google them :) I'm so proud seeing the "Sinigang Mix" :>
