That was awesome, and it was very cool to see you and the wife both working together. However, you guys lost me at the aluminum foil, and then you got me back, and lost me again at the ball, and got me back again, only to lose me again at the spiderwebs. Luckily I hung in there and you guys just blew my mind with this build. Hollywood would be doing themselves a favor if they picked you guys up. BTW, CGRTist turned me onto your channel a couple of years back and I am so glad he did, It's been 2 years of amazing build projects. Each one more amazing than the last. Keep doing what you guys do and I will continue to keep on watching. I can't wait to see what you guys do next!

What is the gestation period of an Alien facehugger? Apparently more than a year. That was, seriously, a LOT of work. Love the textural details with all the different foams. I’m not a Aliens/horror fan, but I can totally appreciate the work and craft that went into making this egg. Omelettes anyone?

Love seeing how others make these pods. Several years ago I made a couple for a friend's Halloween party. Only had 4 days so I took lots of shortcuts. It's quite a bit messier but you can also use an electric drill to create a makeshift lathe that will spin the foam base around and allow you to shape the foam into an egg just like you would shape a piece of wood on an actual lathe. I've seen foam eggs 6 feet in diameter or more made this way and the results are basically perfect every time. Tons and tons of foam "sawdust" left over so you definitely should do it outside in an area that you can afford to make a mess in.
