Thank you!!!! Your template was perfect. Made my 7 year Olds dreams come true! I just built as is, then took about 8" out of the middle. 5mm foam worked good, 2mm was too thin for a 3x wear in the dark for the kiddo

This is absolutely amazing, and I have always wanted a tutorial on creating a Xenomorph costume, considering there are literally none available except those really expensive movie specials or whatever. I just wish I had the time to do this and the money to buy everything for it. I shall remain ever hopeful.

fun fact; a regular household hairdryer will not have enough heat to shape EVA foam, but! high end salon style hair dryers can reach similar temperatures to a heat gun. in theory, this also means that it's perfectly fine to use a heat gun to dry your hair if you're careful. source: tried, it for science.

I've tried, just because of how much it's been asked. A hair dryer doesn't work. As you said, it just doesn't get hot enough. Which I'm sure your scalp is thankful for. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!

Cool video! I'm currently working on a Carnage mask made of liquid latex and polymorph plastic. I'm also using prosthetics to make the transformation look I'm going for seem more authentic.

really? I can't remember the last time i saw double sided eva foam. Well the brand i usually use is "We Sell Mats" I shop online, but I've found it in select Lowe's, 5Below, ALDI, and BJ's Wholesale Club. Michael's carries the thinner stuff, but not the linking kind.

i noticed that the ends of the alien head were similar to old helmet patterns that I made so I extended them in order to make the alien pattern.

I bought the thin roll of foam, I had no problem with the pattern showing through because it doesn’t much, that much u can notice it. I made a carnage mask from the comics so I didn’t have a problem with it looking lumpy.

Ya know, i have a tutorial for Ripley's cat carrier. You could build that and use it as a display case for the burster.

oh yeah, it's meant to keep your palm from smudging pencil dust or a digital drawing tablet. I was alternating between this and drawing projects.

I cut the pattern and my pieces, and i think I made a mistake… all the V shape small cut, du we have to cut it or it’s only for alignment? I cut all the small V mark, I think I was wrong ? At first I thought I had to glue these V cut 😢

the small v marks are only for alignment. You're supposed to cut them out of the template, trace them onto the foam, but don't cut them out of the foam.
