glad you switched out the light fixture. every room in the house needs a fan. not a light fixture.

pulled the light fixture down and freaked out not seeing a black wire. it was tucked up in the box unused. brand new wire, not even the copper was exposed. thanks for the vid

Works great.

I purchased the exact same fan and installed it yesterday. Fan works but not the lights. I heard you say in the video that you were connecting the blue and red wire and thats for the lighting kit. Where were the blue and red wires? I connected the black(hot), white(neutral) and green(ground)wires. I appreciate any help that you could give me.

Check page 9 of the install guide, you will want to connect both the blue and black wires of the motor to the black(hot) wire in your ceiling.

Not all situations have a red wire that's if you have two switches one for the fan and one for the light if you have 1 switch for the fan and the light you would connect the blue wire with the black wires

Hi. My question is why didn't you use a bracket between trusses? I thought that you always had to use one of those so the weight of the fan doesn't break the blue light box that was originally installed for the light fixture.

Yes I agree. The current bracket is not going to support that weight for long. It's not safe

Mine only had two wires in the ceiling just black and white but the fan I’m installing has blue for the light white for neutral and black wire for the motor

Just wire the motor and light wire to the black (hot) wire. That means you don't have a second switch for the fan only. You will have to adjust the fan and light from the actual fan. There's usually some cords or a remote.

No explanation about making sure the box is firmly supported to the joists in the attic? Anyone watching this that skips this step is in for an unpleasant surprise.

Ooo is a Galaxy stand fan

I have a 52" antique brass Harbor Breeze Centreville that I got from a train station along with 3 Hunter when the bar they were in closed last December. It replaced another Hunter which I also got in 2017.

I put up the same fan. The light comes on but the fan doesn’t turn. Can’t really figure out what is happening. Any advice?

Fan isn't completing the O 👈 ( circle ) of power. You may have missed a spot with having to connect triple wires and make it into 1 connection 🤷‍♂️ I'm guessing. After watching these videos, I'm having the same issue.

It is not a good idea to use a drill or electric screwdriver because it can damage/bend or even break the hardware and screws. And you should change the ceiling box before installing.
