Thank you so much for sharing this video. My Dad was a terrific handyman but he chose drugs and alcohol versus spending time with us kids so we didn't have a person to teach us or help us with something like this. This helped me out a lot and help my confidence. Again, thank you.

Doug you are good, just place the blades on before hanging the fan it's easier.

I like to put blades on first but this fan does not make that possible. Lots of fans I do put the blades on first.Thanks for your comments

The old ceiling fan is Harbor Breeze Roma. It’s made by CEI which made some of the Hunter ceiling fans. It even has the same blade brackets as some Hunter ceiling fans like Pavilion/Quest. I have an antique brass Harbor Breeze Centreville which I got for free after a bar that this fan was in closed permanently, along with three Hunter Low Profile V. I already had a Low Profile V that I got when it was replaced with Centreville so now I have four Low Profile V. Low Profile V are also made by CEI.

My mounting bracket screws thread through the bottom bracket, but there are no nuts to attach the screws to the top bracket. Help.

What did you do with the old ceiling fan?

I take it apart and save all the pieces like switches and such for repairs on other fans as they give me problems. The motor bearings were bad in this one.

in my room I have the same one but it messes a lot this loose of the base , I almost disassemble it thanks to your video but what should I do to not mess , wear some special screw or just move the base and screw in different place?

If your base is not tight up against the box then it needs to be. Is your box rated for a ceiling fan? If not than I would try to attach the base with good wood screws to the ceiling joist if possible. Without knowing exactly what you have it is hard for me to tell you the best solution for your case.Thanks for wathching and if you have other questions that I can try to help you with please comment.

So I thought this video would help me because I have the same exact fan but you skipped connecing the hot wires. Then ur talking about old fan lights. How are you supposed to install if ur editing out important steps? I just wasted 15 min im never gona get back
