You know I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate your videos, before I even think about calling in a pro I just check for any of your videos and I’ve always found what I’m looking for. You’re straight to the point and I love it. I’ve learned a lot off your videos and in my 3 years of owning a house I gotta say you’ve helped me out a lot

First! I'm thinking about replacing the old ceiling fan in my living room. I've installed an outdoor one before and it wasn't too hard and this looks fairly simple too. Thanks as always for the great content!

Hey crispy Great question. If you have an overhead light, but no ceiling fan, you may need to install a fan box… In older houses with metal boxes, they can typically be used… But the newer houses around 50 years and younger would have plastic boxes and will not support a ceiling fan… They do sell ceiling fan support kits for around 20 bucks. I hope this helps. amzn.to/3sJtRUv

He thinks it's kinda ugly and doesn't fit his house,,,, So he is not a fan collector,,, He is a handyman,,,, Why are you courtesizing a handyman for a dumb Reason? I know for a fact that that ceiling fan that you saw is rare,,,, But let's just face it,,, Ceiling fans are just ceiling fans,,, And people can decide to replace it,,, Or keep it and you don't have the right to tell them what to do,,,,

Hey Kendall there’s a couple different options for these, you can hang the ceiling fan from a stud and then do the draped extension cord in the chain like grandma used to do LOL and plug it into an outlet, or you can run some electric up there. If you can’t hide the wire you could always use conduit. I hope this helps
