How To INCREASE DoorDash Earnings By CHERRY PICKING In 2019!! $$$

***********************************************************
I share 3 BASIC TIPS that will help you MAXIMIZE your earnings with DoorDash, when combining it with my other tips I've given in previous videos. There's A LOT OF DEBATE around cherry picking and whether someone can be deactivated or not. YOU CAN NOT BE DEACTIVATED FOR REJECTING OFFERS, PERIOD!!!!!!! This is not debatable, and anyone who thinks otherwise has no clue about the agreement they agreed to when signing up with DoorDash, and what their rights are as an Independent Contractor.

This should be the first video for any doordash newcomer. I remember watching “First day of doordash Ride along” or “7 reasons why you should not do doordash” type videos in other channels and remember having the doordash bag in my car for days second guessing myself wondering if I should even attempt this. Weeks later and after watching your videos I’m super aggressive and find doordash like fun a side hustle game. Those people hating on doordash have no clue how to work the system and are clearly doing it all wrong. This channel totally changed my outlook.

Same with me in Indiana. I have to take everything or I make nothing. Today, I delivered a cup of coffee 30 minutes from where I started at my house, nearly 19 miles one way. Took me over an hour and made $5.00. Take out gas and wear and tear from that. DD often tries sending me 45 - 60 minutes one way for $4 and $5. I would be gone for several hours, hour there, hour back at least, plus however long it took to deliver the food. That makes zero sense why they would even offer that. I did one in the beginning for $6, was gone 2-1/2 hours. They said their algorithms are correct and it is what it is. They gave no apology and acted like I made a big deal over nothing.

  • @rocstardashers7544

I think what you leave out is that all of this information is dependent on area, day, bonus, daypart, pick-up location, average time restaurant takes to fulfill order, etc. I would take a $1.00 per mile Wendy’s over $1.50 per mile Applebee’s any day. There is still time for at least 2 more orders choosing Wendy’s over Applebee’s all day.

Be aware that during Peak Pay offers you must accept 80% of deliveries opportunities assigned during the dash otherwise you don't collect bonus $$. To get around this I end cash after each delivery then begin a new dash. Sometimes I forget this strategy during peak pay while cherry picking and have to eat the loss

Literally today they handed me my order upon arrival and I was early. They can apparently see the driver name and I’ve built good relationships there it helps. Another great word of advice for anyone in the Doordash game, utilize the hotspots. Some of my best orders have come from just waiting around in areas with lots of restaurants. Of course earning potential is heavily determined by the market in which you're in. Mileage to earnings ratio is huge. Have enough respect for yourself to not take low-ball orders unless they're stacked on another order. Good luck and much success to everyone 🙏

Good advise. Find the highest income community that you are willing to travel to. They always have restaurants stacked in 2 or 3 places within 7 miles. Reject orders that take you outside 5 miles of that spot during peak time. You will get double-triple orders and that congrats screen of $ over. I just wish they would shut down how many Dashers can sign into the good areas. There has to be some math on the app that turns it gray. Sometimes I sit in my car waiting at peak times because DD kept this area open. 7 Dashers for ever order. Wait a half hour in your car. Ive complained twice and they said they were going to forward it to management. You try to schedule a dash and it like 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM 8:30 PM to 9AM (next day) Prime hours: 4:30 PM to PM (cant schedule a dash within 30 minutes of another) 6:00 PM to 7 PM 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Tony Holcomb 1 second ago HI, thanks for all your videos concerning Door Dash. They are very helpful. I just started dashing this week, and have 2 questions. Yesterday I accepted a dash to Chipolte, and before I could get to the restaurant, 10 or so offers for dashes popped up for the same restaurant. I prefer to complete one dash before I start another. It is very important to me that I deliver the customers' food as quickly as I can, to preserve temperature and quality. Question 1: Is there any way to shut off availability while working a dash? Question 2: Are the missed dashes going to count against me?

It is really true you have to know your market. I have done a lot of cherry picking but still the best I usually can do is about $1 a mile payout. I wish they'd shrink my zone. I also rarely get those over guarantee. Usually only on large orders going to businesses.

I doordash fulltime and it's my only job...is it smart to reject a lot of orders when I need the money? Is it bad if my acceptance rating is low? Right now my acceptance rating is like 98%, my completion rate is %99 and my customer rating is 4.7. When my customer rating was 4.3 I hardily ever got orders. Maybe one order an hour. Now, I get consistent orders since my rating is back up higher. But I'm scared I wont get a lot of orders and make enough money if my acceptance rate is very low...

Yesterday made 103$ in 4 and a half hours. I accept pretty much everything though. Here in my area it’s about which times you work. If you’re not working during breakfast, lunch, or dinner rush, you’re only going to make about 10$ an hour. I try to make the most in least amount of time so I only work those times. I don’t even really look at the miles. I’m still kinda new. I probably should start paying attention to that. Only ones I havnt accepted yet were two that got by me while i was already driving to another delivery. 81 deliveries so far.

How is the pay out really determined? Based on the bill, the distance, if we use red card or not? Example why is some Wendy's orders $6, but then over $9? Also do you see if they tip right away, later, or even before you accept? I'm pretty new, basically Is it just based on items, the order total, or what? Hope this made sense, ha ha thank you.

I mark the items then got a " how was the delivery?" Smiling face thing. I was confused so I just clicked the happy face. So I went and deliver my first one, second was gone cuz I guess I cleared it. I take screenshots of addresses so I knew about the one I marked delivered. I gps it and ended back up at Foster freeze. The person liver right across the street. So I was confused and she told doordash she never got her stuff.

Jake, I'm new to DD. I've been doing UE for 1 1/2 yrs. I used to really like it but they got greedy and cut the pay in Jan. Boosts are horrible. And they're now making you drive further distances, which you don't know where until you slide to deliver. I'm trying to understand your concept of DD. I get the total miles for pick up. That is for pick up only, correct? That is not including pick up and delivery? Also, DD needs to get with the timing for delivery drivers when they arrive. I will not wait more than 10 min but I found with DD, if you get the notice as to why you're still waiting, and I hit "waiting for food," you cannot "unassign" the delivery at that point. I tried last week and it wouldn't let me. UE is much better with pick ups. They typically have the food ready and you just go! There are pros/cons to everything though. Also, with UE, you can see who tipped you. With DD, you can't. I don't like that. Thanks for the informative video.

So I live in a small town, but my area covers a very, very large surrounding area. I made the mistake once of seeing the payout being $10+ just to have to pull out because it was over 20 MILES! This area covers over 100 restaurants, but it is frustrating that I can be in one area and they're trying to send me to restaurants 20 miles away. I definitely watch my miles carefully now. I just started two weeks ago, only working Sat and Sun so far, and by being careful I've made $15-20/hour (only including the time I am actually able to dash, not necessarily when I am waiting for an opening). Not too bad if you're careful. I hope to try weekdays soon!

@@slaystep1751 I agree w Gail 100% when I try to unassign they say too late. Anyway, many times I am driving so can't do all the calculations but don't want to miss an order so I go head and accept but later realize it is too far to drive to make it a good deal or that the restaurant is slow or busy so try to unassaign and they never allow it. It sucks. Last night I drove 16 miles each way 4 an order of 1 burrito from Qdoba, it had looked like it was closer. Grrrr made only $11. I think the previous dasher had dropped it so they locked me in immediately. Different markets...different rules AND payouts different. It's bad in my area. When I 1st started DD in Sept2018 I was getting $8 to $10. Now I get offered orders for usually between $5.70 & $7. (I used to decline if less than $6.50 but then found myself sitting long time waiting for orders). Anyway its ridiculous here. I was so excited seeimg $11 l jumped on it, not realizing a road was closed and had to go long way and thru $2 toll. I felt so ripped off. This market sucks.
