I just did my first dash today. I was nervous at first but then you get into it and it actually becomes kind of fun lol

door dash is cool i just recently signed up and they want me to do a dash before they send my activation kit out i'ts like almost 4 am and i could grab a shift from 430 to 530 am with a 17 dollar bonus i kinda messed around with the app and figured stuff out on my own but your vlog and Bently Koup's helped me out alot thank's kristina you rock

I would love to see a video that walks me and talks me through a full door dash after the fact... so record it in the moment, leave that hard to focus background music out, and talk me slowly through the process of an order coming in - what do you look at, what helps you to decide whether to take the order or not, what are the things you consider? Once you take the order, talk us through the details of how the app works from there. My first order took me forever to figure out how to do everything in a timely manner and I ended up getting tagged as not having delivered it on time, when in fact, I had delivered it at least 5-10 minutes early. Also, where do you put your purse? Some of the areas I deliver to are not the most trustworthy and full of character, integrity, and respect. I worry about my purse when I jump out to run a delivery up to a house. Things I found hard to figure out on my first day dash today: 1. How do I look at the screen and know whether it is worth my time and drive? 2. How do I know what the full amount of miles will be? 3. Once finished, do I drive back toward a hotspot to pick up another delivery or stay where I'm at? 4. Is there a way to tell where I'm being sent ahead of time? (I live in Indiana and it sent me across the border to a rough neighborhood in Illinois today. I grew up in a neighborhood like that and I know what goes on. I was not prepared and should never have been over there.) 5. How do you go into the app and send the customer a text? Are you doing this through the app or through your own text message? 6. I actually live in a rough and unsafe area... How do I drive to a safer area where I can work? Do I have to find the hotspot or can I just go to the area and then pick up orders from there? 7. I know I'm missing some things. For a type A - Highly sensitive personality and a total introvert (functional introvert but nonetheless...), I was a little overwhelmed with it all. I wish I could have had time to play in a "test" version to really learn my way around the app and figure out how to navigate it but because they don't offer that, I need a video that at least takes the time to show these things - and preferably, a previously recorded dash that has been gone back through and voiced over to explain everything...

I'm late to this. It's just now becoming popular in this area. I'm super nervous. I have high anxiety as well but I've been watching some of this chick's videos to gear up for it. I like her videos and she makes me think think I can do it. Maybe. Lol

I just signed up as a dasher and I think some things have changed that I haven't seen in the videos I have been watching. For example: Activation kit: Once I signed up, my dasher app said that my activation kit would be sent automatically through the mail. IDK if this is because maybe I don't live near enough to a dasher office or because of COVID-19. Start Date: Once I signed up, my app told me that I wouldn't have activation kit sent to me UNTIL I completed my first dash. So Literally 20 minutes after I signed up as a dasher, I was already making my first delivery. I was super nervous, but I guess since it was an already paid for order it wasn't such a big deal.

That is really nice of you to say! I couldn’t find the green one but I have used this style too and it’s awesome. Appreciate the link for the phone holder👍🏻. My biggest concern while driving for DoorDash is declining orders, I’m getting quite a few under $10 that has me driving 20 min away. Then I turn off the app on the return drive back to the downtown area I want to stay. I see you recommend scheduling your drive time each day, I will start doing that. You also mention you can pause time (30 min) for a break, which is a cool feature. So, if I’m on a scheduled time slot what’s the best way NOT to accept orders while driving back from city that’s 20 min away from where I want to be?

that's definitely the worst part about doordash. depending on where you live they can send you on a wild goose chase all across town. that's something I really like about delivering for instacart is that you can actually PICK the order you want to do. I wish doordash did it this way!

Mine when i did the background it say action required chckrd sent a email howver i go to the email.n it doesmt have anything for me to do.

I got a message that said that I get my welcome kit after my first - so what do I do if I have to use the red card to pay for the food.

I will work on a video that focuses on taxes, mileage deductions, etc. :) but using turbotax is very helpful because all you need to have is the total # of miles

It didn't let me complete the 3rd step where it asks you to download the app. Did it like 5 times and it didn't even say that its complete. Anyone know how to fix that?

My girlfreind got cut off from not accepting a couple deliveries last night.. after doing this 7 days a week

So we just assume when we pick up food from the restaurant that it's all in the bag(s),unless they have a request for side stuff like sauces. What happens if like a sandwich or something is left out? Is it out fault? How does that get handled?

I do what I can to count the items or do a visual check of what's in there. Not opening packages or touching food but it will totally get blamed on you if it's wrong 😭

Truly would like a update after two years

I applied and - like you said - my criminal background check came back super fast. However, I can't figure out what to do next. How do I complete my application?

With Covid, in person orientation is not an option. (Told that by doordash representative). My background check came within 30 minutes . I selected the option for the kit to be delivered but app and emails are telling me to make a first dash before the kit will be sent. That’s confusing. You can select deliveries that don’t require a red card. I guess I will run my first one and see.

The most part was completed almost instantly to start working but now three weeks later still no kit

The Dash Red Card Is like a Credit Card And Can Only Be Used For Customer Orders ie Customers Who haven't Paid The Card IS NOT for Personal Use (Such as Gas Food etc )

Then I was trying to get into Dash, my cell wouldn't let me log in. I don't know about this stuff! I hope I rescheduled right. It's 11:00 & nothing is going through. So I went home. I went out for about an hour and a half this evening and completed 2 orders that went super smooth. I felt pretty good about it. I would have done more but I hadnt eaten dinner and the goodness in the car was making me very hungry. lol

I have my bag and card I also suffer from anxiety and I have a brother and sister-in-law that do this on the weekends just for extra money I have had so many issues with doordash on the email and everything so I tried to I got my card activated and then when I hit get started or whatever it tells me I have an internet issue I've had to email support so many times on this issue it's ridiculous and I still haven't even got it fixed I don't know how people just keep going with doordash on their support it's ridiculous but I have everything for it and I haven't done it yet just curious if anyone has had any issues on this

The material on the inside of the bag is called Mylar. It's funny that you said it looked like a space ship because it's actually the same material that space blankets are made out of. It's also used to make those shiny, silvery looking baloons and some companies use it to make wrappers for candy bars (the insulation helps prevent the chocolate from melting when exposed to something warm). It can also be used to camouflage yourself from thermal imaging devices, such as FLIR scopes or those used by predator drones.

I just signed up with several delivery service companies, and I have watched a lot of "help" and "comparison" videos for each one. Yours are exactly what we (the newbies) are looking for. On the bonus nights fri, sat and Sunday in Phoenix area, you can make 450 in three days. Of course that's 36 hours of work and hustle. Again you helped me so much and I Thank you so much. @@JJDaBossOutdoors Once you sign up with your driver's license number, name, email, etc. They'll run your background check which you should get back the same day, and they'll direct you to a W-2 form to fill out through the app. They'll send you an email saying that your starter kit is on it's way and you should get that within 1-4 business days. In the kit will be the hot bag, your red card, and a slip with instructions on how to set up the Dasher app. Hope this helps 😁
