The original hem is of a smaller circumference than where it meets the leg when folded and results in surplus fabric pleating. I'd suggest you learn to sew or find someone who can. Trouser hems like this are pretty basic, but blind stitched ones are more difficult and require a special machine or be very carefully hand sewn.

@@efdupdate? How many washes has it taken to undo? 😁. I am thinking of doing this to designer pants. But I need to do this quick for an event. In the future would I be able to still get it professionally hemmed? As in will there be yucky glue stain etc?
Stupid question I'm sure, but has anyone ever used heavy duty staples to hem pants? I'm talking just knock around pants and jeans, nothing fancy. I wouldn't think they'd be too obvious if you only use a few for each leg.

I’m sure you could. My only concern would be them coming undone and scratching your leg.
How to remove it

This can’t be removed, it binds the fabric

Never quiet in my house
Sure was refreshing to watch this and not have to try and tune out awful music or a lengthy backstory. I’m going to do this instead of using my temperamental demon possessed sewing machine. 5 kids and no time to lose!
Bro lol. No. You do just one side, with the iron on a low-medium setting, iron directly onto the tape, when it cools you PEEL the paper off, then place the other side of the fabric to be hemmed over that and iron again

I must have gotten cheaper tape, it doesn’t have a paper backing

@@efd I think the tape with paper has glue on one side. After ironing the tape on over the paper, you remove the paper and put your hem over it. The glue doesn't work as well though.

lol.no.
1 sec boom pants ruined

Is it better to use a steam iron istead to increase the temp ?

i wouldn't use steam. I think including water will weaken it.
