A small tip if you don't want the thread to be noticeably visible on top, rather than running or backstich use a catch stich or cross catch stitch. It works very well and looks very neat. A little time consuming though. Can be use on any hem pants, arms neck etc.

Please can you also do this for the waist part of your jeans because I have no idea how to make them fit me 😢😂

You're adorable! I'm an old short girl, so I've been dealing with this for 62 years! I've been buying stuff from Shein for about 8 months now and EVERY pair of pants is waay too long! I'm not going through the hassle of returning, so I need to undertake a mass hemming event. I'm planning to use iron-on hem tape, as I'll never get around to actually sewing 8 pairs of pants, thanks for making it look so easy, tho'!

Hi! So I have these really nice cargo pants from AE, but they’re too long for me. The thing for these pants though, I have to somehow hem them from the top? They have this specific design that’s supposed to go over your knee, but if I hem it it would look weird (basically I need to raise them up) is there a way to increase the rise on pants?

Love your ideas & method. I’m short too so always have a problem with length - what about something just to hold up the extra length like a decorative elasticized scarf of some sort? Just wondering if you’ve ever given that any thought?

Why don’t you just learn the hemming stitch? the last pair looks terrible

Hopefully you’ll get better at sewing. I hope your future is not as a seamstress😂 all those little details that you think people don’t notice, people do notice. they notice a lot and it will say a lot to them about you, so I think you should just learn to do it right or take it to a tailor. Remember, God is in the details. details matter so don’t just be riding roughshod over Life’s little details like you do. My mother would have slapped my hand if I did such sloppy stitching.
