great instruction. Do you think it will hold up on an outdoor curtain? It's very hot and humid here. I guess Im about to find out!

I do not believe it will hold indefinitely but it should hold for a while, probably depends on how much the curtain moves, if it is in direct sun and if rains on it. Inside, it does hold after a couple off months very well, but outside, as you say: I guess we'll find out!

Do I need new iron bcs it doesn’t get hot enough.. this isn’t working for me at all

If you can apply a piece of fusible interfacing on the same material with the same iron, then the iron is hot enough and there is a problem with the tape itself. Either is a bad batch, or perhaps it was affected in storage by who knows what. Not all tapes are equal, make sure you follow manufacturer's instructions to the letter, I also had success ONLY when I followed the instructions exactly. If you can't apply fusible interfacing with the iron then yes, probably the iron is not hot enough. This however does not mean that the tape is good, just that before trying the tape you have to fix the iron issue! Beware that for some materials you can't really use very high temperatures, and the hem tape does not really require very high temperatures. Try at first to let the iron stay on the material a little longer, before deciding it's not working.

Is it washable? No need to sew after using this method?

They say it's washable (a few times, not forever) but I have never tried. To me, it's a temporary solution.

I used the hem tape and got excellent result. But when I washed the fabric, everything became undone. What could be wrong?

Unfortunately hem tape is not perfect and may fail, in my article www.ageberry.com/hem-tape-how-to-use/ I am mentioning some reasons. In fact, even if it does not fail after one wash, it probably will after a number of them, so it is probably not a good idea to use it on something that will need frequent washing. I used it with excellent results on curtains, for example.

I have a different tutorial on my site that covers other types of tapes that aren't double-sided, which might be more in line with what you're looking for. Please feel free to check it out here - www.ageberry.com/leonis-iron-on-no-sew-hem-tape-review/. I hope it provides the information you need to solve the issues you're having with the lining tape.
