    All the t4 diesel heater install videos I've seen this is the first one that I've seen to install the fuel pipe that comes with the kit 🙂 top job. Fitting mine soon 👍

    Thank you much appreciated, remember to keep right when cutting the hole in the floor, about 2cm past what I did, I also used a soldering heat mat to cover the fuel tank to the left, its far enough away but play safe etc.. Cheers all the best installing yours, any issues give me a shout

    Google Traduction!

  • @vanlifenomad

    @vanlifenomad

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you for your comment. The pipe was included in the kit I purchased from ebay, the kits look the same but there are differences, some are sold without the pipe, id go down the route of a plastic pipe as the pump does the work, anything into the tank and sealed correctly should do

    Hi, thanks for the video! Did you use some kind of silicone between the square metal plate and the floor?

  • @vanlifenomad

    @vanlifenomad

    7 ай бұрын

    Thanks for the comment, yes a high temperature silicone sealer, main point is to cover the tank close by with a high temp shield / solder matt and get as close as possible to the right chassis, I've just picked up another T4 for camper build, also fitting the same heater on the left p/s or in the rear

    @@vanlifenomadsorry, one more question. How did you manage to screw the metal plate to the floor without access from the bottom of the car? Or did you just glue it to the floor?

  • @vanlifenomad

    @vanlifenomad

    7 ай бұрын

    @user-fb7jb6wh7k No problem its great to see you like the video, I'm sure on this build I bolted the right two outer points on the securing plate and used a high temp sealer on the inner side to secure as its to close to the fuel tank to bolt / screw, it's not load bearing so a good seal is all that's needed, I've just picked up another T4 and will be installing a rear cab heater in that build. Thanks for your interest

    @@vanlifenomad Thanks once again! I agree that good silicon + some self-tapping screws would be enough to attach the metal plate to the floor. We've been the floor for the heater yesterday and it looks like in our T4 we have much less space available under the passenger's seat. We have an old heater still installed underneath the van and metal pipes going in and out of it are right where we want to put our webasto pipes. Plus the fuel pipe would be going the same way along the exhaust and air-intake pipes. So we have to use some good thermal protection for the fuel pipe (not sure about the old heater metal pipes). Your video is very useful, thanks for uploading it!

    They can throw up error codes but it's normally low fuel related from not using them enough, the only change I made was add a better fuel filter in line before the heater fuel inlet, all the best
