  They can throw up error codes but it's normally low fuel related from not using them enough, the only change I made was add a better fuel filter in line before the heater fuel inlet, all the best

  They are a pain to remove, knowing id not use it again I broke the holding plastic clip holding it in, there is probably a 'correct' way to do it! thanks for your comment

  You should leave a small gap in the sealant when fitting a fixed non opening window. Stops the window cracking in heat

  From what ive read the gap is only for dummy windows (not cutting the panel out), if the panel has been cut out the hot air can escape into the van so no pressure can build up causing it to crack 😊

  Does the pre face lift custom (2014) have the extra fitment on the sender unit for fuel hose or is it just the 16 onwards?

  Not sure id guess yes! its on the top of the sender, I cut it about 4mm from the top and the pipe then clips over it, try a search for the part pre 14 and after to see if they are the same

  @philska8er I put the tank on a jack and lowered it just enough to get to the auxiliary feed pipe outlet, just need to make sure the front of the tank stays high as fuel pipes etc, I cut about 3mm - 4mm off the top. I'm sure anouther youtuber has also done a good video on this. All the best

  Jubilee clip worked for years on T4s I've owned, correct way is new pipe but as ever cost a lot. It could be other stuff re gutless, the vacuum pipes are a pain, i replace them with silicon pipes, timing etc could be anything! but when running correctly its still the best van engine out there

  @@vanlifenomad Thanks. I have replaced the majority of the hoses with silicone. Just need to do the middle one on the N75 as it's got a factory clip on it and I can't get to it without removed the whole unit. I have a lot of gunk deposit on that pipe too. Not sure where it's come from. My van only does 30mph uphills!

  @@generationuk Yep needs sorting! A good way to find all out is a code reader or better still VCDS VW scan it gives timing info injector info etc, pays for itself in fuel savings!

  I had an old pair of faux suede moutain bike gloves and wore those to remove the old foam and glue residue. The sticker they got the better they became at removing the glue and old foam. I wiped down any final traces of glue using pieces of old cotton sheet and isopropyl alcohol.

  Thanks, It had been resprayed I did think it was a Ford red, taking it to get some touch up paint it was VW Tornado red

  @vanlifenomad I got my paint from jewls paint. It's a of the shelf colour, so there is no need to it to be mixed. One of the reasons I went for this colour on mine

  Thanks. I used 15mm plywood for the kitchen pod covered in DC-fix grey, the water gas and all fittings via ebay, 8kw diesel heater again an ebay purchase, the bed i used 18mm plywood and CLS Timber 63x38mm, the grey paint is a bathroom emulsion paint. working on the bed now, uploading a Short later on the bed.
