I was thinking Jesus that's no good with all that smoke but then it settled down, looks good Rob, personally i would of put the pump on the wheel well its self or even outside under that space as that pump will be heard clicking in side on that inner wall

Yeah I was ready of for the first smokey start after seeing a few vids with the same, run it a few times now and starts up smokeless, just the first time burning off anything inc the extra fuel I primed thru it, Yes the pump was going to go underneath but in the end I kept inside so it would hopefully last longer without the weathering etc but easy to move if it is to noisy inside :)

Top job mate very impressive and I can hardly believe I never skimmed the vid as it’s 30mins 😉 my fuel pump is a noisy fker as Iv got the all in one built in unit tho I do have some problems with mine as my electric cable is undersized for the distance to the battery as I’ll only get about 11v at the heater and unless the battery is fully charged I’ll just get smoke 💨 lol I really must sort that out before winter. Great vid m8

My only VW was a 1974 bus with an 1800 cc air cooled engine. I loved it, but it was not too practical in a Canadian winter. It was equipped with an auxiliary petrol fueled heater, but all it did was bugger up the fuel economy and warm the one lucky passenger who happened to be sitting in front of it.

5Kw mate,, It does make it very warm, but i have a roof pop up vent and generally use a driveaway awning so it will keep everything toasty, but thats just my setup,, lots advise to go for 2kw which would probably be more then enough unless you have a drafty old shed like mine :D
