How To Find The PERFECT Treestand Location!

Спорт

In today's show, Justin walks through step-by-step of how to find the perfect treestand location, and how he likes to be set up in the stand. He goes over where you should place a trail camera in relation to a well-used trail, and also why he sets up the way he does.

The bush you circled wasn't the poison ivy but where you were when you picked up your stand looked like it. The vine on the tree is Virginia creeper with the 5 leaves per stem

A S/SW wind blowing scent up to the NNE sounds great but what about thermals sucking downhill in late evening? Aren't they going to be pulling scent S/SW when they go downhill? If I got some pre-season mature buck pictures on that camera I'd go back on wunderground and reference the wind direction/speed against the time of day they were crossing there, they probably have an unseen advantage when bedding and crossing in that location.

Going out this Sunday for cameras and stand location for new saddle hunting method, poison ivy is always my biggest worry! Hope that’s not what you have there. That and the Arkansas heat.

Only downside is that you have to hang the platform before every hunt. And we're not sure how tough it is to film out of a saddle, but we'll be trying it out a little bit this year!

Not into hunting with fences. There like Farm Deer, not difficult harvesting an animal in a fenced area..I’d be impressed if you hunt in open bush and found success!

It's not a fenced area - it's a fence separating two pieces of property.

About half of your deer notice all camera’s they come into contact with. I had one every time it flashed they would see it, and it had a low red light flash “a color deer can’t see.”....they saw it.

If you've ever been near a trail camera when it goes off, sometimes you'll hear a quick but not super noticeable noise as it takes pictures. The deer don't see the flash, but they might hear the camera take pictures and notice that.
