Great advise on fishing the drop offs, another way to tell is if you follow your lure down on the sonar and it keeps falling after it hits the bottom of your sonar, ya know your on a steep drop off.

Following the vid and making comments as we go along... As for LG ya know one of the best places to fish is called the "flats" between Dome Island, Phelps Island, and the YMCA camp on Pilot Knob. Just about all flat. Otherwise known as the "Golden Triangle" with actually was cut of from ice fishing years ago.

I think later in the season you are correct with the baitfish but also I think the oxygen levels in the deeper parts of the lake are get lower and lower since it’s locked up with ice, so the move to more shallow water

My parents have a camp in Old Forge so we've gotten to know Kurt pretty well. I literally cannot go up there without stopping by his shop and talking with him for a while. He is such an awesome guy and incredibly talented! We have a smaller picture of his too and I even have a really small one at work to put me in a better mood... His pictures make me feel happy!

Also if you see them fish coming through and don't bite, change your lure out. Spoon to plastic and so forth .... The vibration change might trigger them to turn them on.

I haven't watched many of your video as of yet but this is A Video I would Recommend to any1 just starting out or any1 that doesn't full understand topographic maps n contour lines.. There's not a lot of you tube video's on them.. And the video's there are dont take enough time explaining how to read them or key ares .. One thing I've noticed different with your video's and appreciate is you take the time to explain most key things to checking more fish.. This video your explained it pretty in depth N people will catch more fish because of it.. Most these guys will give you the info you need but wont emphasize the real key tips so unless your experienced and already know what that one key thing there doing is your prob will miss it .. anyways your Videos are a little different because you do highlight the main key tips for catching more fish.. any1 that's watched this video even if they never fished before will be able to download that apt on there phone follow your instructions/tips and fine lake trout on a lake.. Great job

I don't think there's enough videos on them..trying to fine info on keying in on good fishing spots using contour lines and topographic map.. And there so many different types lakes out there some are from of structure while others have very little .. Idk I'd personally would be interested in seeing more Videos on them..

Just downloaded the app and it’s super helpful. Most spots on the lake that look good tend to be in 100-130 feet of water. Is 100-130 feet to deep to fish off the bottom? Thx so much for all the valuable info!

In the winter Lakers go everywhere I have seen them flying up right under the ice eating bugs from the bottom of the ice. You always have to move your lure away from the Lakers they hit when they chase. Find a steep point.
