I cant stress enough that a full 2 hour vid covers real time is essential. There are just too many vids that short, vague, and theres always hidden steps... this full process deserves more appreciation! So grateful this is freee

For those asking why their brushes weren't working with the fur textures the way hers were, I had the same problem and thought my pencil wasn't working but I realised that its actually because I was holding my pencil way further back than she does. When I moved my grip up to the neck of the pencil, everything started to work the way it should!

This was my first attempt at drawing anything since (maaaany) years ago in high school. It was also my first attempt at doing much besides calligraphy on procreate. My work needs work, but it’s lots of fun! Thank you!

Since I’m new at drawing on my iPad with my Apple Pencil, I really appreciated something you had in your beginners tutorials. That was the list of times you taught each thing. I can’t say how many times I went back and forth and again to find the place you were teaching what I needed to go over again (and sometimes again & again), I was hoping to see that in this video. I’m guessing maybe you only do that for your beginners. I love you anyway and will try my hardest to keep up(:

Okay first I LOVELOVELOVE your Skillshare classes and your videos here. And for the person who asked how to fix the shaper strokes after you've already started the fur texture over top of that, I think I know what they meant. Way into using the combed dark to create fur texture, I saw some blue background shining through, and here's how I fixed it. I created a new, non-alphalocked layer UNDER the shaper layer needed to fill in, did some shaper strokes to fix the area, and then merged those two layers. That worked for me.

I really liked this the first time I saw it, but I was also pretty new to Procreate, and this seemed intimidating. Now I want to try to tackle it again. You’re keeping things fairly simple, but are obviously a good artist, and a good instructor. I like how you started with some shapes and showed how to get the correct angles on the face. To be honest, I find sketching on Procreate harder than working with paper and pencil, and I’m tempted to do it there first so I can trace it on Procreate. But, I’m still going to give this a go, doing it all on Procreate first! And, meanwhile, I bought our fur brushes, plus I’ve accumulated A LOT more!!!

I don't even have the iPad but still seeing this video 😂😔I hope I will get an ipad soon 😉

I had a sweet Ragdoll named Sebastian who was so adorable. Unfortunately contaminated cat food from China made him very sick and he passed away. Oh how I miss those big blue eyes looking at me and the sweet good morning kisses.

If you have trouble with your brush, here are two things that helped me: 1) Edit the brush: Change the ‘bleed’ in the tab apple pencil. It will make it a bit more smooth. 2) Make your own. If you like it more smooth, less pencil grains: Duplicate the technical pen under ‘inking’. Change the shape source to: ‘thin hair’ from the shape library. Change these things: Stabilization: amount to about 20% Taper: maximize both, 0 pressure, 0 tip Shape: randomize Grain: movement 50%. Add brightness and contrast as wanted. No filtering. Properties: max maximumsize, 0 as minimum. Worked for me :)
