i followed all along this was my first real painting i learned a lot. but the reason i never wanted to “copy” someone is bc i thought i will lose all my creativity. but i learned more than i thought. thanks a lot !!

I just found your page. I’ve had procreate for a couple of years and had no idea how it worked. I was scared. I like to draw, but digital art is a little different. I did a couple of tutorials elsewhere and I saw this mushroom and figured I’d try it out OMG! I was impressed with the shadowing that I was able to follow. You made it simple to follow and now I’m going to draw more. Very happy and I’m following you.

Best one yet? Very cool, using so many techniques-- helps as an ongoing reference. So many definitions and choices

I just started using Procreate and have been trying to find the right videos to actually learn how to use it. Not only was this so easy for me to actually do, you really explained how features work, why and how you used them. Thank you for that! I have now subscribed and can’t wait to dive into more of your videos!! 😃

Love the BeeJayDeL tutorial, "CUTE MUSHROOM" very impressive drawing, so much fun & easy to follow.

Awesome job, I love the way this turned out! I have been enjoying makeartmay. Especially the Mandalas that was a lot more fun than I expected. I love your approach here using so many of the tools and features. I need to learn more in my art program. I'm used to just blocking in a color and setting the opacity to 30% for a quick cheap shading but the mix of colors and Gaussian blur really helped push the 3D effect.

I have a question. I just recently bought an ipad along with Procreate. I've been using it very frequently and always wondered if the constant gliding of the pen is at all harmful to the screen's longevity. Would you recommend a screen protector? Or would a screen protector only get in the way of procreate sensing the apple pen?

After you made all the dots n the mushroom you pinched them all into one layer. Why did you not do that with the highlights and shadows? Would that have messed with the gausian blur amounts on each one?

How about a lesson on MASKS? I get clipping mask and alpha lock… but can’t figure out how or why to use the mask….
