Sometimes the trailer is too low for your fifth wheel to get under... you can deflate your airbags to get under, after you slide under reinflate your airbags... this will pick your landing gear up off the ground... this will make the handle a lot easier to spin.
@blkcobra03
7 ай бұрын
Also, when I drop a trailer, before pulling out from under it, I deflate the airbags so then when pulling out, there is NO drop of the trailer as you heard in this video.

I’m happy to hear that my videos have been helpful for you! Offset backing can be tricky, but the key is to not overturn your steering wheel because you can lose sight of the trailer in your mirrors. Always take your time. Your instructor/examiner wants to see that you can back up properly and not by how fast you can finish. I wish you the best of luck!

Okay, I have watched your video on Coupling & Uncoupling a tractor-trailer. I am a Certified Evaluator & Instructor, and I have driven trucks for almost 50 years. The name you were looking for is a "Pin Puller" to disconnect the 5th wheel. You get the Gist of it, there are many steps you have missed, and the fact you did not drop your airbags, is a No-No when you're Hooking or Unhooking. Don't get complacent with your hooking and unhooking. As for getting under, if you feel that the trailer could fall on you, then I would refuse the trailer, or you hooked up wrong, some how. You need to get under to be sure you are hooked up. It is NOT going to fall on you. Not bad, and I have seen better demonstrations, like I said, you get the Gist of it.

Did she not also pull away too far.. the trailer was resting on the truck frame. Should it not rest on the rear part of 5 th wheel plate. Just a precaution in case landing gear is weak . And re hooking is required 🤔🤔
