I'm about to start a heater core job on my 96. It's not leaking but it's clogged up with stop leak from previous owner. Thanks for the video it will help me stream line the R&R.👍🇺🇸

I just tried doing this job on my 1994 Accord over the weekend and got stuck at the bar removal before I ran out of time and had to throw it all back together. Somewhere on the driver's side, something is holding that bar in that I could not figure out. I removed all of the same fasteners he did and even consulted the manual. I think there's a hidden bolt or I don't know? Let me know how it goes for you, I'd love to give this a second shot.

The wood screw was part of the continuous product improvement contingency plan to cover a vibration not detected by the in house quality inspection. Or just a furious end user. Hehe

Also. If I need to address 1.) cabin a/c issues, 2.) radio/cassette player issues, 3.) cabin filter replacement, then better to combine the labor and "down time" into one project? Thanks.

@@GibsonGarage Thanks. It was that 1997-1998 change that made the Accord cabin filter easy to get. They start to stink. AND - The heater core tubes are very close to that intake manifold. Can't get tool in there to safely remove heater hoses. Might have to remove that sensor box on firewall side of intake manifold? Thanks

At firewall inside of engine compartment, how did you disconnect heater hoses to engine? The intake manifold is totally in the way. On 1997 Accord 2.2. Thanks.

@@GibsonGarage Honda repair techs must have a custom tool for that "engine to heater core" hose. It was a a ball breaker. But I got it done. And I removed that sensor at the intake manifold. That made those two heater core tubes easy enough to get at. 'Thanks again.
