Hey Gibson currently in the process of installing the carrier bushing and can barely get two threads going on the bolt you said 1-2 should be enough and once you get everything tightened up you should be able to get it in farther?

Do you absolutely have to pull the pulley off or can you get it out of there first and then get the pulley off if you hold the pump in a vice?

I’ve wanted to lower my magnum for a while, but I think I’m going to try the Mopar lowering spring kit (P4510854), which should be about a 1” drop or so. Not huge, but better than stock.

I'm dropping the transmission in my 05 Dodge Magnum right now and I stopped to get on KZread to find a video of someone doing the same so I can see what I'm getting into before I proceed! It's been 5 years since you did this video but I'm thanking you now for making this video! 😁👍 I'll be rebuilding my transmission.

Great video! I would add clear instructions for timing the chain properly. Top dead center, during the compression stroke of cylinder #1, is very important, then align all the valve sprockets in that position.

Tho all things considered(dodge) they most likely exceed oem spec. Overall nice look at th banged knuckles involved! Cheers, B
