Very informative video. I currently just removed the dash from my ej1 since I need to fix a couple of water leaks in the firewall, and also to pull the chassis harness to do some repairs. The heater core doesn't leak, but after watching this video I'm definitely replacing it since its most likely original to the car.

great job on removing the dashboard and replacing the heater core detailed instructions on the dash removal, a/c and airbag don't give up on this 90s car, it's already a classic IMHO

You can also retrofit an evaporator core with a cabin air filter from an ek 98-00 model. Easy mod, just watch out for the ac thermostat wiring. Or reuse the ac thermostat from your evaporator core.

I dont think there is a worse job we all dislike then removing a dash. It is like you said... a pain in the ess lol. Handling the dash is so difficult. Everything want to just crack and snap. You just have to be extremely careful. PS. Your hood looks just like mine lol

You said it mann… its just annoying cause its fragile and forcing it only makes things worse.. then if you break it, you cant just order a new dash hahaha thats a much BIGGER pain

@@projectgoodspeed great video my guy. If you like check my channel. It's a project that went way to far. And to make things worse I am no longer in remission from Lymphoma cancer. I got like 9 month left to finish my build. Any how keep up the videos. Subscribed 👍

When removing sruck hosses lift the with a tiny screw driver. Spray a little WD40 in there annd wiggle a bit. They will slide right off 😁

Ouuuf…. It took a minute. Lol Removin the accessories and dash was about 4 hrs and then removing the heater core itself was about 1hr but only cause I didn’t know how. If you got AC it might take a bit longer thooo
