The rhynchostylis retusa also known as kopou phul in Assam is an orchid species anyone can grow. The care routine for this orchid is very easy.
The rhynchostylis retusa is a vandaceous type orchid. It is a hot growing orchid. It needs lots and lots of water. The minimum humidity required is about 60%. It is best grown mounted on trees, wood or cork slab.
In winter it produces spikes which bloom around mid April.
The blooms are very pretty and fragrant. They last to about 2 weeks.

How to make it bloom never bloom at home it goes very well but no flower

There can be many reasons for orchids not blooming. May be it is still not matured to produce blooms. Also it may not be getting sufficient light , water or humidity. I have an exclusive video on the reasons why orchids do not bloom. Please check out the video.

Foxtail orchids generally produce new baby plants from their base. There are other methods like germinating seeds in a very sterile medium such as a flask but it is done in a very controlled setup which is very difficult for orchid growers at home

Many journals have documented that the Rhynchostylis retusa is used for medicinal purposes. Locally in my state it is used in cuts and wounds. Most orchid lovers grow this orchid for its beautiful flowers which grows in multiple numbers

You mean blooming period I suppose. The retusa puts out spike when winter starts receding and spring season is about to come. The blooms take a long period to fully open and blooms in April. An early blooming variety is also found in upper Assam areas which blooms in mid January or early February.
