    Throwing away the pain killers would be a massive mistake. Revealing that you have them before anything starts is what you should do and since there are 7 people everyone agrees to contribute 14% to the total. Knowing that you'll have a pain killer to take after your turn is over is a good motivator for people to contribute.

    I would be SUCH an asset in this game. I have severe (SEVERE) chronic pain that has me needing to take morphine and gabapentin every day as well as wearing a fentanyl patch just to live. Since I would be in the house without my pills, I'd probably also take my patch off and then I could just sit there and get my percentage of pain in while others tortured each other. I'd be in just as much pain as everyone else, overall, but not in a way that causes any damage to my body.

Ironically, a little part of me wishes there was something like this irl that would give a visual representation of pain levels if i attached it - just because it would allow me to explain it to people in a way they'd more easily understand 😅

    Man they were stupid. The whole permanent injury thing, while good at causing a quick bit of pain, wore down the pain of getting punched. If they went about punching each other (the men getting hit in the jewels) it would be easier and wouldn’t cause permanent injuries. Off the beginning, a finger nail was worth over 1% of the meter. About 4 hours in, they were 20% done. So why was it only 80% with an hour left? Because the longer you torture a single person, the less pain they feel in the end. In the end, the best strategy is to punch people everywhere they can, systematically giving them breaks to recover and able to feel the pain again.

    What I never understand in these movies is why the 'contestants' think their captors would ever let any of them actually leave. You're choosing to trust that an individual or group that kidnapped you, wired a kill switch into your body and then forced you to inflict pain and/or kill people for their own sick ends, be it entertainment or chemical extraction or what have you will just let you go because you gave them what they want. No, they're either going to make you do it over and over again until you do die or they're just going to kill you to tidy up any loose ends. There is zero benefit for them to let you leave. Its in everyone's best interests to realise that as quickly as possible and then work together to gtfo. Doing what the captors want you to do doesn't ensure your survival, it only isolates you so that you're easier to take out - and, if for whatever reason they do let you go, it makes it easier to scapegoat you for the whole thing.

    I'd advocate to use pressure points on the body. Pressing down with force in pressure points can cause a lot of pain with minimal to no injury. There's one behind your ear that hurts a lot if it's pressed down hard enough and another on your forearm but it can be hard to find. Best thing about this method is that once the pressure point stops being pushed on, the pain stops and there is no injury that keeps the pain there and you can use the pressure points as many times as possible.

    Not even a kick. A flick to the balls with a finger is even more painfull. The balls have so many sensitive nerves that a kick makes all of the fire off at once and makes the pain less than it should be because the signals get clustered. As a guy who has the bad experience of having been hit in the balls by accident many times, I can say that the time I flicked a mosquito dead on them was the most painful experience I've ever felt from there.

    Sternum rubs. Take your knuckles and rub firmly on the flat middle part of the ribs. Don't press hard enough to break ribs. It's fairly easy to do untrained, but can cause bruising. It's used to assess consciousness. It's a very thin layer between skin and bone, with little protecting the nerves. Other bony areas like the knees and elbows are more 'used' to distress and joints are relatively complex fragile areas that you do not want to damage. There's also the trapezius squeeze, performed on that muscle towards the back of the shoulder that connects to the neck. Fairly easy to grasp with minimal fat as a squishy barrier. Unlikely to tear the muscle just by squeezing it. But it hurts. Cuts, punctures, wounds, burns, and breakages are risking death and are permanent injuries, at least in terms of scarring. Pressure on sensitive areas distresses the nerves with minimal damage.

They had access to pliers and fire, too! Clamp the tube shut, cut it, then seal the end still attached into the base of your skull to prevent infection, then use those handy torture implements - used by sane people in DIY projects - to open up an escape route and move as a group towards help and hospital. Any of your kidnappers try to stop you, provided stopping you isn't in the form of being lit up by semi-automatic gunfire, you're armed and in a group, you've got a better chance of overwhelming them and taking their vehicle.

    Then what do they do ??

  • @amaterasu3099

    @amaterasu3099

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@multifan1416 This is very simplified but : the neurons that make you feel pain have 2 types of receptors, the pain neurotransmitter receptors (receptors of glutamic acid and substance P, which are the actual pain neurotransmitters) and opioid receptors (which are activated by morphine, enkephalin and such). When pain receptors are activated alone, you feel an amount of pain that depends on the amount of pain neurotransmitters. However, most painkillers are able to activate opioid receptors, which "desensitize" the neuron that now has a lesser response to pain receptors activation. So the amount of pain neurotransmitters produced is the same, it's just that the neuron will be less reactive to them. Now I believe that in the movie they might collect not pain neurotransmitters, but other neurotransmitters that "come after" and have other roles than producing the feeling of pain, such as those that participate in the reward system, but let's be real it's not realistic at all anyways.

Multiple researches into the subject have found that the pain level reached via a hard strike to the jewels can actually match, and eclipse in rare cases, the peak level brought on during childbirth. Just keep doing that to both the men and women and you'll be free in no time.

Personally for me that’d be some kind of burning and I’d just tell everyone to pick a small amount of pain they can handle and spend a few minuets together either doing it to themselves or having it be done to them. Taking brakes and ensuring everyone is in as much pain with as least real injury like broken bones, severed limbs, etc. as possible

    Since the house doesn't seem to have any obvious cameras I would assume one of the solo players was an imposter because the game masters would need a way to see what we are doing in case we break the rules or try to escape for them to release the poison vial. It would be easy to determine who the imposter is since the camp group knew for certain they were kidnapped together, leaving the surfer dude, the loudmouth and the businessman as the only possible suspects. Because of this I would reason that only those three needed to be tortured and because it's four against three there's not much the smaller group would be able to attest. Then one by one I would inflict small but painful injuries like pressing the clothing iron under each of their hands and feet then pouring salt on the wounds until the meter goes up to 100 which would be in 4-5 hours since the pain from burns on nerve endings last far longer than burns anywhere else on the body this would also physically impair all three of them so when the door opens there's no way the surfer dude would be able to release the poison vial or kill anyone before they find the lab, extract the devices and escape.

    It's NOT a death game though, it's a pain game. Everyone CAN walk away if the original rules aren't changed, they should focus on non-damaging pain, but they kept choosing extremely damaging torture. Many superficial wounds in low priority areas for functioning, like the face or other areas would be the best way to to generate the most pain, or using other options such as using non fatal electricity through extremities away from the heart or putting salt or alcohol into superficial wounds. Electricity would be best since it's non-damaging but activates as many pain receptors as possible.

    Also the pregnant woman is literally their best bet for this. Pregnancy is hard on the body, and on the hormone levels. She could potentially be a big battery, depending on the exact neurochemicals that are being isolated.

  • @OtakuWrath

    @OtakuWrath

    2 жыл бұрын

    The issue is that women that are pregnant, their body adapts to prepare for childbirth and their pain threshold skyrockets. Normally women experience more pain on average from the same stimuli but the pregnancy is like a "super power" boosting that pain threshold even beyond the men. Overall it would take less pain and less damage to receive more pain juice from women meaning the women wouldn't need to be tortured as harshly as the men which is logically a nicer outcome for them. It would be even harder on the men that get tortured in the later round of torturing because watching others get tortured would boost fear and adrenaline and most men would unintentionally become more resistant to pain as they prepare for their turn. The proper method to do this would be to use the pregnant lady as the main torturer and have the other members avert their eyes and try to stay calm as each man gets tortured first since the longer it takes to torture the men the higher the possibility that their fight or flight mode activates and adrenaline rushes making them seem way too durable and you really would benefit from taking everyone not torturing or being tortured into a different room to avoid adrenaline spikes like that. Maximize pain for the lowest cost to each players body.

    @@OtakuWrath Thing is that if we're going with pain response then in general men are more susceptible, and if we're doing outright pain then a few kicks to the gonads should pop that door right open. The other thing is that what likely happens is inhibition, which means that the chemicals are still produced, but they don't get recognized by the receptors. Besides, there's the fact that there isn't one universal "pain" hormone, so first hour should be testing stimulus to see what hormones it's looking for, and seeing if any of the ones raised during early pregnancy are doing the trick.

    Honestly it would be good to ask if anyone suffers from migraines. If yes it's possible to trigger one through pressure on the eyes, top of the head, base of the skull or an impact etc. Argue that this method causes no injury and even if it's not as much pain as the torture, severe migraines can last the 21 hours easily and, for the worst ones, the pain can be akin to breaking a bone. This would be a strong constant drip. Source: I get migraines.
