Also January sounds like a perfect time to do the most dateable robot masters in Megaman 1-11, just throwin that out there. I personally think Elec Man would try really hard to impress his date's parents.

The easier strategy for Serges is once you take out the cannons, just stand on the bottom of his machine and shoot charged Sonic Slicer, hits him every time.

In my opinon , Zero´s fight is the best part of this game .

I like how Sigma uses the weapon of his weakness from X1. I think I am going to play some X2, now that I know how to beat it the cool way.

Just finished the game for the first time today. I did the grapple but wasted like an hour doing it. 💀

TooterP did you know that if you use the giga attack with you're chestplate on the boss of sigma stage 2 it will destroy all the canons and skip to the part where you can actually attack serges (bonus fact he has a second weakness which is charged overdrive ostrich weapon try using that while under serges)

steps on how to make serges boss fight easier 1: have giga crush prepped to destroy all the cannons at once 2: stand between the last and middle platform to avoid MOST not ALL projectiles 3: use either regular or charged sonic slicer 4: laugh at serges while doing so

I love this game and how you can beat it without backtrack AND starting from any level (except for Morph Moth and Overdrive Ostrich). But that would be the coolest way. (My path is: Sponge > Gator > Stag (for Zero Part 1) > Crab (for Zero Part 2) > Centipede (for Zero Part 3) > Ostrich > Snail > Moth)

Make a let´s play of Metroid Dread , or any another Metroid .

Violen is straight up the worst bastard to do a perfect run on. Serges and Agile are child's play compared to him. PS. Serges weakness is Sonic Slicer not Magnet Mine.

I don't know (or care) if someone said this in the Best/Worst Mega Man X songs video, but I noticed a while back that Sigma Stage 3 from X2 and Gate Stage 1 from X6 are essentially the same theme, just at different tempos and in different keys. Go listen to both if you don't believe me

Mega Man X2 is better than Mega Man X, while I appreciate the mm1 style refight stages instead of 8 in arow and they reuse centipede stage but it has better bosses, better secrets, maybe better music, etc...both are like top 5 games ever made though.

In my first play through my first 2 Mavericks were Wire Sponge & Wheel Gator because the heart tank is so easy to get at the beginning, & The Strike Chain Is needed for the arm parts tho I managed to get it with out the Strike Chain.

I know you have never made one before, but you really should do a Let's Play of MMX3 Zero Project someday, because in that mod it feels like you have TWO playable characters instead of one and a lazy one!... Don't get me wrong, I like the original X3 even more than other MMX games, but Zero Project is a massive improvement for the most part, like the fact you can play as X or Zero without restriction! And I think you can complete Zero Project with no backtracking as well so it's fun to play literally any route you want to 100% without backtracking. If you don't want to play it, can you at least mention that game in your next video?

You can get the sub tank in Wire Sponge’s stage a lot easier by climbing up the “tree” to the left of the “vertical rocket platforms”. It’s a lot easier to do. A speed runner would hit the middle probably but it easier for a casual to jump up the left side near the tree.

The main thing making this game worse than MMX1 is the fact that you can't fire a fully charged shot while dashing, and even that's a nitpick. The fact that you start out with the dash pretty much makes up for it.

is it just me or does wheel gators boss coridor remind me of kraid from metroid

speaking of editing, what kind of witchcraft did you do to increase the framerate after 27:31 ?

My game is broken. Wire Sponge weapon wont work to get the buster upgrade and using invincibility frames doesn't work on the spikes to get the heart. So that sucks.

Maybe I'm just tired and it's late. But why in artwork does it look like Zero is wearing briefs. In the games it doesn't look like that. To be fair I haven't played the later games. But still. Am I wrong?

Serges is actually really easy when you use the CORRECT weakness against him. How do you not remember the sonic slicer being his weakness if you remembered Violen's weakness? Totally baffling man....and also his machine is weak to the Sonic Slicer as well as him. You can take out all four of the cannons with the charged-up version and then use that on him or hit him with the normal version. Man, I haven't played this game since I was 15 in 2000 and I definitely feel I could beat the game a lot faster/without losing as many lives. I always thought the people I watched play games I've played on KZread were way way better than me. Found someone who apparently is worse than me. Also yes it is obvious from this game onwards that Zero is Dr. Wily's creation...and Mega Man the Power Fighters (2nd one) makes it clear as day he created him with the blueprints for the final form of Zero shown. Which also ties into the idea of Serges being a robot clone (with his consciousness) since he was able to reassemble Zero while giving him the upgrades to actually complete him since he was incomplete before then (the Z-Saber, the shoulder pads, and other parts are completely different after Serges rebuilds him and match the blueprint). In the Japanese translation, he is the only character in any X game to refer to Rockman (the original). There is no cannon explanation to what happened to Mega Man, Bass, Protoman, and Roll but it's assumed that Zero killed them before being forced into hibernation before he was completed (showing that the unfinished version was already the most powerful robot-made at the time before being completed by Serges). No one is said to be able to analyze Zero correctly or work on him except for Dr. Wily, they say it multiple times in the series that he is an anomaly

Serges weakness is not Crystal Snail, it is Overdrive Ostrich... Also, you kill all 4 of his cannons if you just use the Giga Attack from the Armor... Guess you're not really doing the cool way

Absolutely not! I’m playing Mega Man X2 now for the first time and find it far inferior to the first one. Its difficulty is a bit unfair in some things but mainly it just has inferior bosses, levels, and weapons. The X-Hunters are also challenging but you can miss collecting the pieces of Zero which makes the game frustrating as a beginner.

You didn’t fight any x hunters, that’s fucking lame. How is that cool
