It's weird that Green Biker Dude is more well popular than the game itself, especially considering he was just a throwaway character in one cutscene.

I've been watching your vids for a bit now, I absolutely love your enthusiasm about the games and how you hype up TAS as if he's every speed runners big brother who just says "hand me the controller kid, watch this shit"

In the Japanese version of the game, Sigma tells X to meet him at the Central Computer Base, which is where Centipede was spreading the Maverick Virus around worldwide. That's why you go back there. It's their hub. The mainframe below is housing the Sigma Virus, which is why it explodes when you destroy it. Also, if you select Centipede's level at the end, it also just takes you to the final level as well since that's where he wanted you to meet him anyways.

Hoping to see that _"X-trilogy No dash challenge"_ someday 🤞 (hopefully with _"No boss weakness"_ so it would be a real challenge). Some boss weaknesses just make the fights pointless.

Playing Mega Man X games without 100%ing them is just not doing it correctly, which is why I prefer 100% TAS over any%. Edit: what I meant was that I get frustrated when Speedrunners skip getting the upgrades.

Now THAT sounds dumb. I've 100%'d this game (and by extension all of X series) so many times by this point it's simply gotten old and boring. One of the coolest aspects about Mega Man in general is exactly how there's no "right way" to play them, be it changing up the boss orders, using or not using weapons, collecting or not collecting upgrades, etc. If you enjoy beating up the dead horse, be my guest, but don't go on yapping about it being the quote unquote "right way".

@@t-universegamer7609 That's fair, I guess what I was more referring to is that most people are playing it that way, and I get frustrated when watching speedruns where they don't get the upgrades.

If a speedrunner skips an upgrade it likely means it's faster to skip it. You can't really get frustrated at the runners for beating the game as fast as they can cause that's literally the point

21:03 Fun fact, when you beat Sigma/X-Hunter/Endgame Stage 4, if instead of selecting the Fortress again, you instead select Manga Centipede’s stage, the intro stage music plays anyway, implying since the Fortress was destroyed after Stage 4, X teleported to where Sigma was heading, which ended up being Manga Centipede’s stage.

i always thought it was just a weird recolor, but now i finally put 2 and 2 together and realized overdrive ostrich's refight has snow instead of sand lmao

As i commented on the other one, the Cx4 is used to accelerate the sprite table generation, which means that all those explosions are also using the special chip to push every sprite in the game to draw explosions, because you can't have enough explosions. Also that first boss use every sprite available for the snes.

I'm really interested in the MMX3 100% speedrun. It means the final level will be Rhino's because there's no way TAS is losing time looking at that dumb map.

I think there are a few needed revisits in X3. The drill is needed to get the arms upgraded which, in turn, are necessary to get the heard upgrade.

Don’t know if you’ve covered it before, but if you select Magna Centipede at the end of the game (after the refights) it will take you to the final level

I hate Crystal Snail. I was playing Mega Man X2 one day because I like that game because it's cool and fun. I was messing around with boss orders and found myself going to Crystal Snail's stage without the Magnet Mines that you'd get from Magna Centipede, as I hadn't gone to that stage yet. I was enjoying the stage; I was moving and grooving until I reached Crystal Snail, The Slug, The Boss himself. Until now I'd always fought him with his weakness, but now that I didn’t have it, I'd need to adapt, and so I did because I'm an epic gamer. He eventually threw out Crystal projectiles that caught and immobilized me. Since I knew I had to quickly mash Left and Right on my controller, I put the palm of my hand to the analog stick and frantically jostled it around. It worked! I escaped and was able to defeat Crystal Snail, The Slug, The Boss after repeating the process a couple more times, but not without casualty. My analog stick popped out of whatever was holding it still in the controller, and while it stayed inside the socket, it simply didn't feel right anymore. Crystal Snail, The Slug, The Boss broke my controller, and I haven't forgiven him for it. I hate Crystal Snail. Thank you for reading my Greek Tragedy

yes the helmet upgrade in X2 isn't that great but it will help locate the 3 areas where you can use a charge up Silk Shot to draw in health (2 locations) or weapons (1 location) energy. Edit: The Silk Shot will collect different "junk" depending on the stage which is referring to Morph Moth being a bagworm

I know of two Fan Games that have Green Biker Dude. One is a laggy racing game that has the same name of the character. The other is "a fangame of a fangame", Wily's Cut; it's a mod the Mega Man X Online: Deathmatch.

It's a translation thing. The X-Hunters were named after 3 talents, using french terms. Violen as in, well, Violent Agile as in Agile Serges as in Sagesse / Wisdom I believe they wrote Violen without a T because that T is silent in french. Also, I'm an avid fan of snails, I love them buggers so much, had several as pets, and I still hate Crystal Snail.

I’ve always done wire sponge first without any speed run factors. He’s the easiest boss in the game and an easy heart and sub tank.
