The rotor blades of a helicopter are able to support the weight of a helicopter when they are spinning because of Gyroscopic Rigidity.

I agree, and we got to remember that the load on the blade gets distributed throughout the length. Not necessarily evenly but it isn't all concentrated in one location. But I liked this video. It opened your eyes a little bit as to the load and stress these blades are under!
