As a military aviator and former safety officer, I can tell you that the pilot was absolutely reckless. You never know when a gust of wind will come out of nowhere or an engine problem will act up, and with the extreme closeness to the buildings he had it would have taken very little to crash. Maybe if he was somewhere by himself where if he crashed there would be no collateral damage, then it would be impressive and still extremely dangerous, but he was NOT. Have you ever seen what a flying rotor blade will do when it breaks off of the rotor hub? The camera man was easily within the kill zone if something had gone wrong. You don’t fuck with aviation. She is a very unforgiving mistress. I have been to enough funerals to know.

2:15 not a truck but a wheeled contraption used to calibrate the catapults on the carrier. Back when we had military service in France, meaning newbies on the deck every two months, the usual prank was to have one of said rookies believe that he would become tester for a day, it was all done very well, with through the ship announcements (“attention attention, launch test to proceed in short notice, the pilot on the deck” etc) and the poor guy was brought to the thing upon which a camping chair would be strapped…

I was on set years ago when the twighliight zone movies was being shot. It was the night scene and the actors were in the water. The blades literally chopped them up and decapitated the man and you can see his head go flying in the video. I was only there to be an extra st the time. It was my very 1st acting job. Ill NEVER forget the night of July 23, 1982 as long as I live. I had spoken with Vic Morrow a few mins before the accident. We talked about the scene and he told me he couldn't wait to finish it because he was starving and told me he was going to pig out when everything is wrapped up. Every set I've worked on any extra or stand in had to walk to staging opposite of us. Every production company I know makes all the extras sign a contract acknowledging that if at anytime they breach the actor/extra no contact clause they will be immediately escorted of the premises and will be fired from the production. The rules are pretty rediculous if you ask me but unfortunately we don't set them, we only have to abide by them.

This happened to a police helicopter pilot when I was a kid. There was an accident and the helicopter landed to help. The pilot stepped out of the aircraft and without noticing climbed up a small hill. It was just high enough to bring his head into the plane of the rotor. Cut his head clean off.

I remember when I used to work on the rigs in the bering sea off Alaska during the 90's, we were waiting for our chopper to pick us up for home leave, the heli had already made two failed attempts to land on the platform as it was getting buffeted around by cross winds, on its third attempt the heli suddenly pitched it rotors forwards and downwards before regaining its hold in the sky, I also saw a man in the front of the queue drop down, as I got closer I could see him attempting to sit up, he had his hand on his head, there was a lot of blood and I noticed the top of his scalp and skull were missing and he literally had his hand on his brain, feeling around as if he were trying to access the damage, it was a pitiful sight as he started talking incoherent gibberish with a fearful look in his eyes before he passed out, unfortunately he seemed to have lost the battle before the medics could arrive, I will never forget that one of my colleagues who was standing closer had some brain matter and hair stuck on to his jacket and when it was pointed out to him, he instantly threw up V V V V V to all those that think I made this story up, they are 100% correct, because I never worked a day in my life, never mind on some lame assed rig out in the middle of the sea and if it took you a minute to read this then that is time you will never get back, HAHA LOL
