I think ‘flex culture’ is an addiction. Not necessarily the items, clothes or cars. It’s the response of people. The likes, the comments and even the jealousy. I think it has the same effect as narcissistic supply for narcissists.

And she also told me that real well-to-do people didn’t worry about buying these things. Rather, they were more concerned about saving their money and enjoying life.

Especially in our broken world, having kids is selfish. Intelligent people are not having children knowing orphanages are full and our Earth is dying fast.

Dear Anna, When I saw your content a few years ago, even though I found you interesting, I felt it was a bit too focused on becoming or looking rich. And since one or two years. I feel like your content mostly promotes real ‚class‘, in a sense of acting respectful and empathetic, living a healthy lifestyle with a healthy self worth, and pursuing the things we want by positive changes. I really love how it’s not anymore so much about finding a certain type of partner but how to be classy yourself. And as you said in recent videos, one can have little money and still be an elegant and classy. I am so happy for you, to see your development to so much healthy self confidence independent of flexing or money, you are just classy and I‘m here for it 🥰

There's so much freedom that comes with losing the desire to impress people. Of course many of us want to be well liked and well received. As Anna said, it's a natural human instinct. What I try to think about whenever I'm buying something or posting something is: "do I like my reason for doing this?" I've found it helps me make better decisions.

Absolutely. @theheartbreaknurse Some of us used to post online [ahem] MySpace and Facebook travel, luxurious meals, shopping bags pictures filled with items and other activities. While posting some memories online is great, there is a fine line between sharing a special moment with family and flexing your wealth and health with everyone on social media. As the question you stated, "Do I like the reason for doing this?" "What is my picture trying to convey?" "Will this picture go on public or private posting?" Personally, I enjoy creating personalized albums over time and only pick out pictures I know someday I will share with friends, my own children and my future spouse. These pictures showcase the happy, sad, difficult times and other phases of my life.

I'm sure some people will miss that part as it came towards the end of the video, BUT important to know that there is a difference between the toxic flexing I was referring to throughout the video, and then what can be perceived as flexing, although it's literally just a personal showing glimpses from their lives and that life happens to be luxurious. But they're not showing glimpses from the perspective of showing off, they're just showing / sharing. I hope my ladies will be able to see the difference.

Actually she is not a KZread influencer. I told her I’m not all that, if she is that interested she should probably pursue it. She said she is waiting for some kind of increase in her cash flow, so that she can start KZread. I started thinking when did ordinary people start thinking about social media every minute.. She couldn’t understand the fact that I buy jewel, bag, clothes so I can wear and enjoy..For her, it seems there is no purpose, if I don’t post them in KZread/Instagram.

I agree with Anna on this. Luxury and a lifestyle of abundance is not flexing-we shouldn’t feel guilty for being able to afford beautiful or expensive things. I do, however, believe in scaling down any obviously expensive items depending on situational awareness. Classy is not flashy and it’s never meant to make anyone feel less in any way; that goes for education, experiences, luxury goods, lifestyle etc. Bravo for making this video

Beautifully explained Anna! People could be happier with what they have and feel more confident in themselves and their lives if they stopped giving so much power and credence to 'influencers'. Who are these people? Why should their viewpoints determine who we are and what we aspire to? We need to ask ourselves (instead of listening to other's opinions) what would make us happy and what gives us joy. Yes, it might be a Rolls Royce, but it may also be a rocking chair on a porch in the woods. W need to listen to our own hearts, rather than letting strangers influence our choices.

Social media (TikTok especially) fueled SO much of those feelings, and it was jarring to see how my mood and behavior fluctuated based on how much time I'd spent on social media that day. I didn’t want to say “this is exactly what you have done, Anna”, but I’m glad you acknowledge it. You have grown up. Your content is still very much aspirational, however. Many people I know were put off by your quite frank chasing of rich men and their lifestyles, but I saw glimmers of better things from you here and there. Even in your early content, I thought you had some contributions to make on female empowerment, such as valuing one’s self and setting boundaries with men. I also found your candor and ability to self-correct refreshing. Plus, you didn’t just relax into your new wealth, but kept working. I hung in there, hoping for better content and you are beginning to deliver it.

I think "chasing of rich men & their lifestyles" does not tell the nuanced truth of my content back in the days when I was blogging and sharing education on high-society. Dating affluent men was a big part of that content, but it wasn't the only thing I was teaching. Funny how it's, the only thing that really triggered people and sticked in their memory. I don't know why people are put off, it tells me more about them as someone with an open mind would just have an open mind. My content keep evolving with time as once I have said everything I want to say on a subject, I keep moving forward. However... one of the things that have never changed is that I fully embrace if a woman wants to level up her life with the help of her partner. Wanting to marry up should not be frowned upon in our society and that's what that conversation was and I was giving the tools. Sadly our society is still not ready for these conversations as people have too many preconceptions and just jump to conclusions.

@@AnnaBeyOfficial Exactly! I think others putting down your past self for sharing such helpful videos because it was about dating men, is not really a compliment like the commentor intended.

What I appreciated about find a rich man and lifestyle is the message to women to not settle for someone who treats them poorly. But for that we also need to level up ourselves. We need to dress/treat ourselves with respect.

Thank you, Anna ❤️. I would say that this video came at the right time for me. Recently I found myself in a dilemma; I was caught between 'flexing' my academic achievements and extracurricular activities and doing it in silence, knowing that I am happy and proud of myself. I started to consider flexing them because of my political aspirations in college. Now, as I watch this video, I know that it is not worth it. I will continue to excel and hope my work is recognized without me having to shove it into everyone's faces 😂❤️.

Brag about my academic accomplishments to my mates in school? I know some of them that do and it does not look like a tasteful thing-bragging because of my first-class grade? I don't think so 😂

It's a blurry line when you are looking for your first job, or any jobs after that. You have to do some amount of self promotion in the job hunt, but flexing your academic credentials too much once you are in the post or even when looking for a promotion (unless it's a career-pivot) does come off a bit weird. I still see people do it (I work in Engineering), and it always strikes me as a bit odd, since your work and professionalism should speak for themselves.

I relate to your evolution as human. I hope your message gets to people in the right way, some say is easier to talk like that when you are actually tired of the life style but when some one has not have had ever tried the material/superficial things and or experieneces in life that they consider hight status, they want to fake it to know how it feels to be looked up to or to be accepted in a certain social circle.

Royal families do not flex. It is their duty to show power, because the King or Queen is an embodiment of power and status. Most of them detest this show wholeheartedly. 👑
