I'm just setting out on my elegance renewal, and I would LOVE it if you would make some videos on how us plus sized girls can also be elegant. I find that most "plus size" advice is geared toward ladies around size 12-14, but what about us ladies who might be 22/24 or 26/28? We would also love to know where to shop, what to buy, and how to dress our bodies as they are now-- whether we are actively working on them or not. The rules for thinner women may not apply for us (small accessories, or stripes or certain fabrics/cuts). I don't plan to stay this size forever, but I would love to be elegant as I am, no matter my size. Can you help? :)

Thanks for your teaching all the time. Next time kindly make a video on elegant hair cut and style. Looking farward
I agree, you don't need to have a lot of money to live elegantly. Taking care of your skin, hair, wearing timeless clothes that suit your body and personal colouring. Taking care of your home and keeping it clean and organized. Choosing kindness and setting boundaries. The way you carry yourself and express yourself is always free. Spending time in nature and beautiful spaces. Small luxuries like baths and candles and even picking wildflowers or buying an inexpensive bouquet for your home. Choose to be happy because holding on to anger will always diminish your grace.

@@sangeetaChaudhuryWooingbeauty it depends where the anger comes from, how to let go. You can care/love yet not like a person's behaviour. That is okay. It will not harm you.

Great video! I’m currently in the process of levelling up how I spend my past time and this is what I decided to do: - become better read: visiting libraries more often, read 10 pages every night, join a book club - classical music: I joined the local classical choir, rehearsing weekly, performing 2-3 a year - arts: visiting museums and art galleries, attending meet the artist events, little bit of painting and drawing following free online classes I think getting involved with charities and nonprofits are also a very elegant way to spend pastime, eg volunteering or organising fundraisers doesn’t really cost anything. All of these are free or have a very low minimal cost.

This is so true! I grew up in a hardworking but lower-income family. However, my parents taught us proper table manners and made sure that we looked and acted appropriately. Respect and manners are free! In the U.S., you can find higher quality clothing at yard sales or at thrift stores and the basics never go out of style. If you want to level-up your education, besides KZread, many well-respected universities (like Harvard) offer free online classes.

Small things matter-do a home mani pedi, watch videos on how to enter/exit a car gracefully, tweak your makeup application, declutter and clean the house, use nice things you already own instead of saving them, use free online foreign language sites to begin learning a new language, watch youtube lectures by Ivy League professors in history, literature, etc. Also, while this isn’t free, it is cheap: find thrift stores near affluent areas; you can often find nice crystal and silver items there.

I agree with you - location is extremely important. Ginie Sayles and the late Kitty Carlisle (New York socialite) often preached about living in the right neighborhood to help with leveling up.
Anna 1.67 M ? Woww I remember when You’ve thank for 100 K ! It’s a BIG success . And YOUR effort👍Congratulations🤗👏👏👏🎉
The essence of elegance is not wealth or expensive things. It is, simply, kindness and good manners. Graciousness. And it costs NOTHING. We needn't buy anything. Stand up straight, look people in the eye, and smile. My mom taught me that. She came from a poor but happy family. And she was right.
I’m doing my best to stop judging people, even when it’s in my head and I don’t say it out loud. That’s elegant and costs nothing :)

Maybe reframe it as learning from other people's unelegant behaviour such as - I don't want to behave in a restaurant like they are. I don't want to interact with a sales assistant like they are, I don't want to talk to my kids like they do. I don't want to drive in the same dangerous way that they do. Recognise unelegant / unhealthy / dangerous behaviour in others and learn from it. Also look out for people and behaviours that you do like and adopt those ways.
Money isn't necessary for the internal work, but it certainly is for the external work of refining your image (a more flattering haircut, getting your teeth fixed, refining your wardrobe, etc.). As we all know, money does ease the way for everything but money itself cannot buy elegance, just the image of it. I appreciate that, even after 1 million + subscribers, Anna still caters her content to the average viewer, those of us who don't have an extreme amount of wealth but who are interested in upgrading ourselves for a variety of reasons
My mom used to tell me that money can’t buy class or manners. You just confirmed that. ☺️
All the points made are spot on. Yesterday, I was with two colleagues and we were discussing a meeting that another colleague had hosted. Someone pointed out that they always thought the meeting host had “come from old money” because he was always so well spoken, well groomed and carried himself so professionally. I happen to know that he came from very humble beginnings and there is no old money in his family. He simply made the most of what he has and applied all of these suggestions. 🌺
In Chicagoland, there are free days at museums. If you are on a low income, you can get into most museums for free of low cost, it's called "Museums for All". Also... Don't forget higher end thrift stores/consignment shops. I've gotten Coach bags that usually cost $250+ for $50! And KZread is my BFF! Soooooo many videos on how to apply makeup. Soooooo many videos on dancing. Public speaking. Vocal coaching. And of course... How to be elegant. 😊

You cannot buy class. It must come from within. Your outer appearance and behavior are a reflection of who you truly are. Do you genuinely want to be a classy & elegant person. You must invest the time & effort in yourself.
Hello Anna , I would like to request you that please make a video for teenagers in which tell us the important things that a teenager should keep in mind to level up. Because I am a teenager and I want to level up and want to be in my best version . It would help us a lot . Please make a video on this please 🙏
Yes, when I listen to classical music, I feel totally elegant as myself despite my non-elegant neighbourhood.
Completely agree 4:00 - It's all about the pedigree. Pedigree doesn't mean you come from familial or generational wealth. It's about the upbringing and scripting of the child that goes a long way in making it easy for the person to assimilate into society. Being Respectful, Well-mannered, Well Groomed and Well Dressed are examples of that. Pedigree and scripting is totally free, but it's hard work. Resilient parents are the key.
You can dress elegant on a budget- we saved to go to Italy this year & I just finished my capsule wardrobe for the trip- dress shorts- for $3. I LOVE my thrift & consignment boutiques. Sure, I could spend a lot more, but MY elegance thing is travel!

Have a great holiday - Italy is a wonderful country. I live in the UK and have been about 3 times - it is so varied with so many interesting places to visit. Oh and did I mention the icecream? So many unusual flavours - Fig and Honey was my favourite :)
Money doesn’t buy class. The past 2 years I finally reinvest in myself and I love it. For the first time I finally felt self love and it is so worth it. I love the new me. Ladies, present yourself well to the world. You attract what you are. "Everyday is a fashion show and the world is the runway." - Coco Chanel
Many of us have china and silver passed down through our families. Take time to use what you have, don't wait for an occasion, make one!even just use one or two formal pieces at a time. Quality vintage items can be found in thrift stores as well. Small pieces of shrub, flowers can be brought in for the window ledge or table. Food can be arranged beautifully. Pay attention to how they style magazine or restaurant dishes. Take inspiration from that.
This is 💯 True. I often think of myself as a bit of a mess and quite critical of my outfits, so would never consider myself as elegant. Here's the reality; how I'm perceived by others and have been told this by many people... I'm so graceful, elegant, well spoken and confident. Plus always well put together 😅 I'm always shocked to hear this. I don't have money, but I have manners, kindness, understanding, patience and well groomed. Having luxury items, expensive clothes etc have no connection to elegance. I can think of plenty of celebrities that have tons of money but lack grace, elegance and class.
Dear Anna, the second hand industry has gotten so much better. I wear so much ted baker but it's all second handed.
Little luxuries are the key to leveling up gradually and easily. Thanks for another great video Anna🥂
This is a great message. I am someone who is attracted to an elegant aesthetic, but not necessarily all of the luxury/level up lifestyle messaging that gets discussed on social media. I just want to look and feel elegant. I want to carry myself in a manner that reflects my values and interest and I don't feel like I need to be rich to do that.
Remember that you can often find high quality clothes of various luxury brands in second hand stores....clothes, which rich people have worn just a few times... Usually they go fast, and you need to check those second hand shops which are located in the areas where the richest people reside.

I agree, often there are brand new donated items in charity shops, some of which are high end. Charity shops can save you a huge amount of money and you can find some amazing elegant bargain pieces.
Hello Anna, I might know the reason for hurrying the beginning of the videos. But that gracious and inspiring smile saying “hello my beautiful ladies, welcome back” was the thing that made wanted to be a more warming person to the others and elegant as well. Thank you for being this great teacher even just playing yourself. ❤
Where is this fabulous dress from Anna?
Love love love these suggestions. When I was on a serious budget I used to research all the free/super affordable elegant events in London/New York. It made a world of difference in my life.
My personal why is i want my career in fashion to be great while having a soft , safe , femenine at home then amazing career even travel with healing from trauma from what ive been taught that damaged my mind. The luxuries are just a bonus which is lovley and a treat ❤
This video is the best yet. My mum always said … ‘be clean and well-groomed. Stand tall, mind your manners and behave with grace.
My Dad always told me that class never goes out of style and class is free. 👗👠👔
You need to be in a safe space for sure, but you don’t need to be rich. It was too long that I didn’t have a safe place to breathe and assess my life, actions and the way I carry myself. In a toxic, crowded environment or scrounging to survive, elegance can’t take priority. There are more important things like survival and I was really hard on myself when I wasn’t in the position to become what I perceived as elegant. Go easy on yourself if you’ve been through the ringer and aren’t your own ideal yet. We are just human beings in a crazy world. Take a leap of faith out of your comfort zone! And accept that it’s okay to just be, and that alone is an accomplishment.
Miss Ana, that dress looks amazing on you. The color, shape and style suits you perfectly. Love it ❤
This topic is very dear to my heart and I agree with every single word. The example of an elderly lady going to church is so on point!!! And I also couldn't agree more with the statement that elegance equals effort - such a precise summary. I am wondering what topics wil you cover in your future work! Will it be more on that topic, of beauty, real elegance and quality of life? I wouldn't mind! 😊

I’m very passionate about the subject of building a quality life. Whatever that means for each individual ❤
So true, I started dressing more elegant by buying in second hands. Investing in good, tasteful shapes, lenghts and fabrics can be better than buying known "labels". Style and elegance is free but requires work if our parents didn't teach us. We can do this :)
The lady in our village was 70+ and very elegant. She dressed so gracefully yet stylish and beautiful. I would be dressing like her when I'm her age.
Pretty dress Anna!
Exactly! Your manner/manners trumps all else 🌸🌸🌸
Effort is elegance, that's really it, perfectly worded
No boring moment with Anna Bey.
Thank you Anna for your content. ❤ Working on your mindset, environment or the place you live in definitely elevates us and its not always related to money. I love the small luxuries approach, such as fresh flowers, maybe a box of pralines every other week or a day trip to a nearby city. ❤❤❤
Hard work equals elegant Finance to be needed for.
I agree! I’ve been on a journey of leveling up my appearance. I went to Burlington (yes, that store!!) and got an elegant, modest, feminine dress in $13 and looked the best dressed among others in a restaurant. That with kindness to servers and a slight wit resulted in being treated better by others
Thank you for spreadig this very important message, that elegance is not out of reach. It's a mindset and a daily habit, accessible to anyone who works at it. It cannot be bought (similar to phsyical fitness!)
I've had opportunity to watch many of your videos, always informative, but I must say this video felt very caring and appeals on a whole different level
For me it's about self-respect, and putting others at ease.
Love your new dress
Love your sense of humour with your dog and you at the table.
Super agree that personal enrichment activities (visiting museums, classical music, etc.) carry a level of elegance because most people don't prioritize those things. So the people you will interact with in that atmosphere will be elegant, refined people. There's definitely an "elegant" energy there that's wonderful to immerse yourself in.
wow ! i cannot believe this is already what i was doing, trying my best to look neat with the clothes i already have, and i can say i have nice compliments time to time !
Thrifting vintage dresses is a much better option than "low priced" fast fashion you pay the price when it pills, frays and doesnt fit right
Love your dress ❤
Exactly!!! Thank you for another great and honest video. I love your channel and the direction it's going. Thank you.
Amazing thank you ❤ I’m a student and can’t pay for workshops that’s why free one help people like us..
Teddy looks so handsome in that suit! 😂❤
Great video Anna! The first steps to leveling up and achieving the life we want comes from your attitude. Your example of the woman who goes to church dressed well and is gracious and kind made me think of my own wonderful aunt. She is such an inspiration to me, her attitude and actions are always elegant and well mannered.
My city isn't precisely the most elegant travel destination (Cancun, Mexico), but for the last couple of years I decided to make the most out of cultural events, so I have attended art exhibits, concerts, plays, book clubs, ballet recitals, documentaries screenings, etc. and most of them are free. Needless to say, these events are not very appreciated by locals or visitors, but they certainly are an oasis among us.
Thank you so much Anna for helping us leveling up ourselves to be the best version of us,. That's the true essence of your elegant kindness,.love you Anna,.God bless❤
One of the members of my bowling league commented that I have an elegant, ladylike way of approaching the lane when it's my turn. I guess I try to utilize Anna's lessons in all my daily activities, no matter how mundane they may seem.
I centred all my financial resources into education. I believe that well-educated people are more easily welcome in the affluent community. Other than that, I’m trying to acquire the manners, which don’t cost any money, as you mentioned. Also, I try to shop from boutiques whose items look and feel expensive, usually “inspired” by classic brand design but do not scream brand names all over. I think elegance comes first, money will already be attracted to that certain lifestyle.
انا اطبق كل ماتقوليه تقريبا حتى بدا اصدقائي يلاحضون كم اصبحت انيقه بل فتره الاخير بسبكي انا احبكي❤❤❤❤❤❤ شكرا لانكي تترجمين لنا
Anna, thank you!! I'm reviewing your videos and each time I'm convinced of their depth❤ and I'm also pumping my English, since it's not my native language - perfect! ✨

Your advice has helped me level up and make myself feel better after a number of really hard, life changing years. When I found out my body type and how to dress for it, I went to value village and got some nice clothes that fit me properly. I even found a couple of brand name items. I found a skirt that came from Walmart, but I love it. Thank you for doing what you're doing.
