In my much younger years clothes pins was a MUST for doing laundry. Now, in these years, clothes pins are a MUST once again for doing my crafts. Much thanks for keeping them around all these years. 👏👍😊❤️

The design of the clothespins they are manufacturing is a good design, and a lot better than the original 1853 patented design (patent US10,163), but not as good as the 1891 patented design (patent US446,648). When operating the modern clothespin, if you apply torsional and transverse movement while opening them (kind of like snapping your fingers), they can fly apart. The 1891 clothes pin has a single length of suitably tempered or resilient wire formed centrally with a plain straight cross-bar where the wood members pivot with ease (does not have the seven twisted coil spring as in the modern clothes pin that acts as the pivot point). As far as not falling apart during operation, the large vertical circular springs which extend from edge to edge of both sides of the clamp-bars and abut against the same at all points will effectually hold the said bars against torsional and transverse movement or disengagement. From the side it looks like a full loop in the spring, from top to bottom. I have found a few of these while looking through piles of old clothespins. I use them to keep my chip bags closed.

Is this all they produce? Hugh operation and very specific equipment to make these. Didn’t know clothespins still had a market place. I’m guessing a million could be made out of one of these Hugh logs they show in the video. I love businesses that make off the wall products. I’m a furniture maker. I’d have to get $75 for one pin, haaaaaaaa
