Fascinating video, Let's stop taking relationship and family for granted. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.

Your pain resonates with me. Letting go of someone dear to your heart is an immense challenge. I found myself in a comparable situation when my 12-year-long relationship ended, and I struggled to accept it. Despite my efforts to reconcile, I eventually turned to a spiritual counsellor for guidance, which eventually led to a reunion. I'm now filled with joy.

I'm keen on meeting the counsellor you're talking about. What steps should I take?

Thank you for this information. I have just looked her up on Google. impressive.
My friend became a narcissistic user. The one time I needed her, she agreed to drive me after a medical procedure (mandatory), a few days before, she told me both SHE and her HUSBAND, now had appointments, she had made this same day, I let her go as a friend. I had been her flying monkey for YEARS, and this was the ONLY time I asked her for anything. I quit and she REALLY felt the absence.

That’s sad , you deserve a real friend 😊
I've lived in so many places and I have to say making friends has been one of the toughest things to do and just takes so much energy. I appreciate all five and thank you for sharing this in a way that is helpful. Trauma is a real thing and infiltrates so much of our lives, healing the trauma uncovers the real truths. Thank you Mel!
I moved to a new town…I am here a year now …my mom stay with me…I haven’t made one friend yet… I do not feel going to a place alone …there are not really many things to go to alone ..and as a woman it’s so difficult…I also need this one friend….thanks Mel….enjoyed this

If you have a rec center they have drop in classes in movement/dance and drop in pickleball. When I feel lonely I go by myself to these activities and the people in pickleball are super friendly and accepting. I took a pickleball boot camp to give me confidence to play.

I am so glad I watched your friendship one. I contacted my best friend after as I missed her as we had not seen each other in ages and she agreed to meet 3 days later it was great and made me feel less alone! Thank you
So I honestly can’t imagine calling anyone or even thinking of it at 4am. I get it but just don’t feel that way about anyone rn.
Very insightful and true Mel, about the fracturing of friend groups as our kids age. I’m much more purposeful in the last few years of putting a scheduled date on the calendar to get together with friends, or it won’t happen. It’s expensive now to invite folks over for dinner, but it’s worth it to stay connected. I still need to work on picking up the phone and talking voice to voice to friends instead of texting with them.
This was SO helpful! I recently found your podcast and I’m learning so much! Keep up the good work!
I do not care for the view but, I am enjoying this! I agree I am on bowling team and we go out for dinner every week before bowling and it’s priceless😊
Very very helpful the friends subject thank you Mel ❤
Mel, this is life-changing advice! Thank you for being real, relatable and so extremely reassuring! You are the party by the way 🎉❤
So true!!!! Thank you so much 😅

#5...ouch. All the excuses. I heard this on a podcast the other day "The magic is in the work you try to avoid".... fitness, weightloss, success, and apparently, making friends.
"....but first, I want to become best friends with this pastry..." 😂😂 Mel, that sent me.
I’m in my later 20s. After college and Covid it’s been hard to make friends and also maintain old friendships. I just can’t balance a full time job and all of this plus my relationship and school it’s so hard
am getting you loud and clear
I feel like I'm imposing on ppl lives if I ask for there time😢
Mel! I would absolutely love to have you on my Warrior Women in Business podcast and share this with my audience of whom I constantly tell - listen to Mel Robbins! We started warrior women circles of friends here in NTC just for the reasons you are talking about. My assistant reaching out.
