How I Fixed My Astigmatism | SEE CLEARLY

👓👀 How I Fixed My Astigmatism 👀👓
👁️ My astigmatism was lens induced. Brought about by wearing SPH lenses while doing close-up.
👁️ This video describes what I did to fix this astigmatism.
👁️ I did CYL or astigmatism reductions in isolation from SPH reductions. Never do them simultaneously as this is too much for the visual system.
👁️ Increment by increment my astigmatism improved.

    Hi mate! I just started this journey and thanks a lot for your vid :) My most recent eye test showed SPH of - 1.5, cyl - 1.0 both eyes. Following which, I had a wet refractive exam (eye drops to remove accommodation) which reduced my power for eyes to sph - 1.25 and cyl - 0.75 which I think represents the reduction in strain/ciliary spasm. My current glasses are sph - 1.25 and cyl - 0.25. I'm due for a new pair of glasses (current one's kinda banged up) and was initially intending to keep the sph as it is now with - 1.25 and drop the cyl altogether (I've read up on how low astig, - 1 or less, maybe fine to drop altogether). Although I was wondering whether I should just keep the 0.25 cyl till I reduce my strain/ciliary spasm and then proceed to drop the cyl followed by sph later again (my understanding being it's best not to drop both at the same time as well as dropping the cyl prior to dropping the sph below - 1 to make it to easier). (I didn't really consider going up from -0.25 cyl to - 0.75 either because it didn't seem right from the reading) Would love to be hear any advice on how to navigate this prior to me making a decision. Also I'm new to endmyopia and have been doing research/reading but got stuck with this. (hope it's not too silly) I understand that it's tricky to give dioptre advice but would really appreciate how you would think about this.

    I think it's caused by the eye tissues being toxified and swelling and the retinal receptors swelling. Swollen eye tissue refracts light because it has to pass through thicker tissues, creating double-vision.

    Hi, this was very useful thank you! I have developed ‘double vision/“astigmatism”’ (not sure which one it is) after my myopia improved of 0.50 (went from 2.50 to 2) because I stopped wearing glasses and I was working outside a lot. I didn’t know anything about vision improvement back then though. I only researched later because the optometrist prescribed me new glasses of 2 myopia and 0.50 astigmatism but it would hurt my eyes and they would flatten the images too much. So I researched and realized it could be double vision, a consequence of myopia improvement. I’ve had that for a long time because I never really stuck to the active focus practice. Should I do this type of active focus either way even if I’m not sure which one it is?

    Might not be a 'scientific term', but my irregular astigmatism is induced because I've got ptosis of both eyelids, drooping down over the cornea, inducing a 'wrinkle' in it which makes for the astigmatism. A vertical ghost image which gets worse as the day goes by, and on days where fatigue is peaked, is even worse as the eyelids droop even worse, amplifying the effect. Got anything for that?

  • @seeclearly

    @seeclearly

    2 жыл бұрын

    Active focus should not cause pain or strain. Think about people with good vision they don't strain or squint when seeing. Neither should people who are trying to improve their vision. It should be done with relaxed eyes. Regarding ghosting. Some people experience a little more ghosting as their vision improves. How can you tell if the ghosting is due to improvement. You may notice that both the main image and the ghost image are a bit clearer than before. The task is then to fuse these images. Check out this video for a good explanation of this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXaC1quwp5nbqc4.html

I am thinking of getting -1.5 glasses but not sure what to order for the CYL and AXS. Will i be able to see if i order (0, 0) there? And what would be the neutral values for the angles?

  • @seeclearly

    @seeclearly

    2 жыл бұрын

    Unfortunately, for legal reasons, I cannot comment on individual prescriptions. However, when I was making reductions I focused on one aspect at a time. So if I reduced SPH, I would keep CYL as it was. After I did a few SPH reductions, I then did a CYL reduction. Again focusing on one aspect at a time. So then, I reduced CYL and kept SPH as it was.

  • @seeclearly

    @seeclearly

    Жыл бұрын

    Squinting isn't advised. I recommend emphasizing in your mind the darker true image. Only think about that as you look at it. You should experience moments where the images fuse. They will be short and temporary at the beginning but will be more frequent the more often you practice.

  • @seeclearly

    @seeclearly

    Жыл бұрын

    You're welcome. Glad you found it helpful! In relation to spending time without glasses, I would say it depends on what your prescription is and what your eye habits are when not wearing them. If you are not straining your eyes when not wearing the glasses, then I don't see any issue. If you find it straining, then perhaps it may be worth considering contacts for things like exercise. For example, if going for a run outdoors 'normalised' contacts can be used to have a blur challenge and still improve your eyesight while running.

  • @seeclearly

    @seeclearly

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes, at the beginning stick to one object until you see some fusing occuring. That said, if images are not fusing and you feel strain, take a break and try on several objects to relax the visual system. Generally though, one object is best. Then as you become better at it you can scan various objects and 'fuse them together' one after another.'

  • @seeclearly

    @@biankafelber8570 Hard to say what's normal as everyone is different. When was doing this I felt some fatigue which felt similar to the mental fatigue you get from concentrating intently on something - sort of like when learning something for the first time. But, when the images fused, it felt good (while simultaneously having some mental fatigue). If you're very fatigued, your vision may be temporarily slightly worse afterwards. However, it should get better again once the fatigue has gone. In my experience, once I mastered the technique and mental fatigue wasn't an issue, my vision would be better after practising it.

So, in my case, I was wearing SPH prescription for years doing close-up which brought about my astigmatism. For that type of astigmatism this technique worked. It sounds like your type of astigmatism may be genuine as opposed to glasses induced. Unfortunately, I have no experience with that and can't say whether this would help or not.

    Yes, that can be a symptom of astigmatism. There is another technique using neon digital displays such as those on alarm clock or microwaves that can be used to help improve that starburst symptom. I've not yet done a video on that but hope to get around to it soon.

So bright light at night makes me almost blind because it looks like bright stains or rays are in streaks. Can't even see the source of light like lamp poles because they're hidden by the light So one week ago I broke my glasses on purpose determined to fix my vision. And started doing eye exercises. And I noticed that my vision improved (I'm a software engineer spending hours at the laptop). Then I also noticed that the bright light doesn't bother me that much anymore So as of now, I really started to doubt if I should get any eye correction surgery if I can improve it naturally

    So getting glasses a step down is basically impossible in the USA. It's a law that you have to have a prescription for a lens. Even if you ask the eye doctor for a step down, they will refuse to give you a prescription a step down and argue it will make your eyes worse. How is this even possible in the US???

All in all, i dont quite get the idea behind this to be honest...Are you talking about the time spent on exercising the eyes? Or rather something else? I dont understand if you are mentioning that we can strain our eyes if we exercise to much or something... Whatever the case, thanks for the exercises...I will try to implement them with white text, but still waiting your answer if i should actually exercise them with that at all.
