I also needed to fight 3 of those frostclaws, my health pouch was 2 bars and I realized I only had resources for normal arrows, *NOTHING ELSE*, hardest fight I ever had.

Remember that mission. Least there was that other Banuk warrior fielding some of the damage. But definitely, this fight here--4 Frostclaws--was the absolute hardest. I almost think even I couldn't pull it off.

This is so epic that I just had to play the DLC ASAP. Sticky Bombs probably would have done wonders here along with the tripwires and freeze canister procing you were already doing. Freeze, sticky, run, hopefully lead into wires, repeat? I dunno. I'll try it out soon enough. On Ultra Fun mode. Your gameplay is really fun to watch. I mean really fun. Many Respecc for not using shield weaver even though the situation you were in would have made it OK to use in my opinion because that was bananas.

Dude just recently binge watching all your horizon videos, Guerrilla should really hire someone like you, for gameplay design maybe? Hahaha

Believe me, this guys entire channel on this game is just as epic. He will teach you so much. These techniques are the stuff of legend! Really focus on how he maneuvers the camera at all times, to know where they are. Also, I hope you're liking this game... It's really one of the best out there.

This is what I love about this game. Constantly anticipating the next move. Every fuck up is one too many. Yet you have so many tools to find your way out of it. How?: up to you!! I spent a few tries on some of the shiny moons(stars) of the hunter trials. And every time I'm learning new strats. All the skills in the skill tree are adoptable in strategy. It's by far one of the funnest games I've played.

You fight like Samuri. Entertaining game play. Thanks.

They are. I suggest keeping your eye on at least one Frostclaw every few moments. When you see them start lunging, rush them. They'll stop their spike attack if you're too close.

That was amazing.. if I'm not mistaken those shoulders were ripe for the plucking. I know when I managed to get those off on the fireclaws, they were on permanent fire and kept taking burn damage till the end. Maybe the frostclaws would be permafrozen?

i think u have to get all three of the explosive bodypieces on the fireclaws.. two shoulders and the chest piece.. once theyre all off then theyre on permanent fire and u just hide somewhere whilst they burn to death

And this was by far the hardest Hunt I've ever done. The Daemonic Thunderjaw, Fireclaw, and Scorcher were walks in the park compared to 4 Frostclaws. Long range, close range, mid-range, it didn't matter, the Frostclaws seemed to hit me every time. At UH, even a single hit takes 90% of your health away. Their drill-ice-spike attack is nearly impossible to dodge. I might have to take a break from HZD after this one. I've never played Monster Hunter, but I'd love to if it's anything like HZD. Would you recommend it?

Guerrilla Games are BIG Monster Hunters fans and took inspiration of someof that game mechanics to do the machines in Horizon Zero Dawn with their own unique touch. So yeah, every HZD fan (gameplay) should give Monster Hunter a try.

Does ultra hard disable healthbars? This is one of the few games ive played where i prefer healthbars to see how low ive gotten enemies.

I would say, play for a couple hours on Ultra Hard and see how it goes. I remember when I was just starting out, before UH was even a thing, I played on Hard quite a bit. Then I tried jumping to Very Hard and got absolutely crushed. Took me a really, really long time to get the hang of Very Hard. I do not recommend starting a NG+ UH playthrough until you get a feel for UH. Once you start, you won't be able to switch difficulties.

I mean I shot it a few time then it chases me so my my panicky ass decided jump off the cliff and die rather than face the music. So ultrahard for me is still a longass way off especially considering how agressive a fireclaw is.

ultra hard is more fun, u won’t die too much but your inventory must always be limited for things to craft and always when u need to be ready when u about to fight something big but sometime you have to cost to much to take one down so only time and thinking is needed but it’s more fun

Good question! It's gonna sound really counter-logical, but fire arrows take too long to start to take effect. Why wait for the fire arrows to start doing full-burn effect when standard arrows do damage out right? Like I said, doesn't make too much sense.

Hmm, maybe you don't have your fire arrows modified very high? I can get them in full fire circle with 2 sets of 3 fire arrows. I also keep tossing blast bombs on them. But I've also not played in ultra hard so I can see where it might not be as effective on purpose.

When I started, I don't even think Ultra Hard was revealed. I worked my way up from Hard to Very Hard without a reticle. Have fun no matter how you play! :D

Yeah at first i thought it is bear (fireclaw and frostclaw), then saw it also has some gorilla 🦍 like characters & movements so yeah gorilla like bears suits well🤣, anyway i thought normally there are three frostclaw, astonished after seeing the fourth 😂
