    Mr. Apocryphal I've almost finished the original game. Last 2 missions left. Your vids are making me think Frozen Wilds is going to be just something else w/r to difficulty

    Hmmm, what does "w/r" mean? For me personally, TFW were WAY harder than the base game. Even the weaker machines like the Watcher and Charger were tough to put down. The terrain also made combat difficult. Don't even get started on the new machines, whew.

    RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUN!!! HOLY CRAP DUDE! It’s like Monster Hunter all over again! More running than shooting and you’re doing 10 things at once. Dodging attacks at the same time you’re making arrows and bombs. I’m telling you, man, you were born to play Monster Hunter. 😉

    Hahahaha! To be honest, though, I actually felt more in control fighting the machines here than the 2 Fireclaws. Mostly ‘cause of the wide, flat space I could use. Hmmm, well maybe 1 day I’ll put down the bow and arrow and stop hunting machines and pick up an oversized axe and hunt some monsters. ;)

    The most challenging, and difficult battle you could ever encounter in HZD - absolutely fantastic, and wow I'm so sure that battle just drained your resources big time. It is tough to know when the scorcher is going to lung - sometimes, there's a sort of flame on prior, but most of the time, there's no warning, not even the little flashing threat meatball. All in all, awesome Aloy Versus, and thank you for sharing.

    Ok this was impressive. I’ve seen some of your other videos and most seem manageable but as someone who’s played on ultra hard, this is by far the one of the most difficult scenarios and places where I think I’d struggle in. I mean, the quickness, and relentless nature of the scorcher alongside everything else happening, I would’ve died at least a few times before I defeated all the enemies in this area I’m sure of it lol.

    That was amazing! 5.54, that fireclaw came out of nowhere. I went “oh shittttt” when it came flying towards you. How do you coordinate everything happening so well? I mean creating weapons in the middle of a jump or a dodge, hitting them in the belly when they come flying and dodging just in time while crafting more bombs. Lol you are a god! Such fun to watch you play. Keep it coming, bro.

  • @aloyversus409

    @aloyversus409

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hmmm, that's a toughie. Don't tell anyone else, but crafting is an excellent way to strategize mid-attack. 'Cause it slows the action down, you get a real good look at where the next attack is coming and where you need to run. You're also crafting ammo, of course! It's a "2 birds, 1 stone" kind of deal. Only bad part is coming out of crafting is sometimes dangerous because real time kicks in and the action catches up with you. I've also trained myself pretty well for hitting a machine center mass/weak spots--for instance, the Trampler and/or Fireclaw's belly, the Scorcher's mine launcher/snout. Of course I can't keep an eye on every on-screen machine at once, so I try to get as close to that as possible. Always moving is my principal tactic, staying nimble, sliding/rolling when appropriate (sometimes choosing between those two makes all the difference!). It's a game between running and firing off an arrow. Far as machines go, I keep my eyes and ears on two things: that red flash of there eyes just before they attack and that specific roar/screech they make just before they attack. Both are huge indicators. Combine that with the fact that some machines will attack in specific ways (Scorchers swipe at you up to 4 times, while Sawteeth and Ravagers only once). Whew. Hope that explains a little bit more into my play style!

  • @aloyversus409

    @aloyversus409

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hmmm, how are you doing against the machines in the first part of the map? If you’ve got no problem taking them down, I’d say move on. If you’re struggling again and again, or even running out of resources, stay in the first part. Do the side missions so you’re used to different situations and enemies, especially weapons if you buy any new ones. Best to get used to them early on. Only issue with doing all the side missions is that you’ll have nothing left to do after finishing the story. When you’re ready, make sure to stock up on resources. That’s a must! The machines you’re gonna find outside the first map are definitely going to test you. Hope this helps! ;)
