  Hey man, hope ur doing great. Its been a long time since i last saw u, precisely 4 years. I was pretty young back then hehe i even made my own video of hunting a thunder jaw(inspired by u) which u saw :) it got recommended to me today and it just refreshed my memories.   It has been 600 days since I've finished my ultra Hard HZD run, an attempt which was inspired by you after seeing you take down that Thunderjaw. I'm now rocking my way through Forbidden West and getting my teeth kicked in. Came here to see how it's done. How did you take to the new combat system at first? I feel like most of the weapons aren't very well balanced in terms of handling, but maybe that's just Guerrilla Games' way of pushing the RPG mechanics. I dunno.

  I got by butt kicked by a bunch of striders, and then by grazers on ultra hard. Don't even get me started on the glinthawks. And I get so scared now sneaking past snapmaws. Never underestiating any of them again.

  sorry no, you just got no clue what you're doing. If you used tearblast arrows on all its weapons, then frost arrows and then pierce his reactor you'd have got him in 1 minute

  After having played this game again since it first came out, I can't believe how fucking awful the aiming and hit detection is in this game. I've had arrows miss at point-blank range, phase through models and not register a hit, miss by "this" much even though the reticle was dead center on where I wanted to aim, having the camera over/under shoot my target constantly, and so and so forth. I feel ashamed that I actually liked this game when it came out seeing just how bad it really is, now.

  I honestly think thunderjaw are very easy. Knock out the plate under thier belly and use freeze arrows on the canisters once it's frozen knock out the plate in the side exposing thier heart. A couple straight shots at the heart and you've killed a thunderjaw in under 30secs

  This was extremely inefficient, here's what I do: Ropecaster, drop the thunderjaw down, tearblast away both its disc launchers, tear blast away its belly, freeze arrow in the cannister that is now exposed in its belly, throw an icebomb, let it freeze and then use its disc launchers. Takes 3-4 minutes to kill one that way probably. But what I really like to do is find a thunderjaw with many machines near it and override it and then watch the show.

  you call this fun. i can took down thunderjaw no problem in ultrahard. whats impossible was killing flre/frost claw in DLC. the is a mission to save execution of carja man and went to look for cluse there are 3 banuks where i use frost arrows, only 2/3 arrows is enought to killed by that even with wearing shield weaver armor. even after getting clues went to locations where he got half nated and sitting in snnow, 2 frost claw will appear. you need atleast 24+ 150 dmg bomb sling to kill single one. other youtube players shows it was very simple but they are using cheats behind.

  After playing a fuck ton of Elden Ring I came back to this masterpiece and it still rocks! Miazaki should take notes from this game how to make a ranged boss fights so mage builds could also have challenging boss fights Good job Aloy Versus!

  I'm surprised you don't take more advantage of some of the elemental weaknesses of some of these machines. Like, with the Fireclaw, if you hit those power cells on the back with a shock arrow, that'll knock it down for a while and you can blast off armor or freeze it or take shots at your leisure. But, uh, I guess that would probably be too easy. I need to be less of a wimp. I always learn so much from your videos, thanks so much for making them!

  So, I've been watching a lot of speedrunners' videos, trying to figure out a loadout that would be effective, but also fun, for having a go at ultra-hard (I'm not there yet; need a lot more pristine coils!). But the thing I notice about your videos is you tend to use Precision arrows quite a lot, while the speedrunners tend to use only hardpoints. If I were really interested in, say, using all of the main weapons (striker, champion, powershot, sling, blast sling) to their fullest potential, how would I mod them? Like, I figure the Champion Bow would take three Drummer's coils, since they bonus all three elementals, but is that correct? Is there some better way to do it? Note: I'm not really looking to speedrun the game. I'm more interested in having fun with it. So I'm more interested in weapon combos and interesting combat mechanics, rather than just killing enemies quickly. Thanks so much for the help! I really love your videos; I've learned a lot from them, and they're really fun to watch. I can't wait for HFW/TBS to come out for PC, so I can continue the journey.
