I think what makes your videos interesting is that there's a yin-yang effect, where the beauty and coziness of life meets the harsh winter and solitude above the Arctic circle.

The beginning of the video with the darkness & snow blowing brings back memories of my Alaskan home. Don’t miss the cold & dark, but miss family for sure!

I went to school at huset. 6 and 7th grade. The highlights was when the Russian dance and theater group used to visit and entertain in huset. Lots of good memories

Great video. I have so much respect and admiration for you and Christopher. Living in Svalbard is beyond my comprehension. It is so beautiful but I am 71 yrs. and don't do cold and snow very well. Thank you for sharing your lives and your home. One of your videos I watched several days ago. I was speechless and impressed when Cecilia put her rifle on her shoulder whilst walking Grimm. I agree with you that he really got lucky. However age gaps are very important. Especially when you get to 70’s and 80’s. If one partner is in 50’s and the other is in 70’s the life is very different. By standard, people start experiencing declining physical and mental health in their older years and often the younger partner becomes a caretaker.!
