Living Alone in the Wild Siberian Forest for 20 years (-71°C, -96°F) Yakutia
This is a story of Samuil. For the past 20 years, Samuil has chosen to live far away from civilization, together with bears and wolves, in one of the harshest environments on Earth.

You´re right, it shows it isn´t about "having everything" but more likely about overcoming obstacles. As someone mentioned in comment above - I think that everybody should live in far more demanding conditions for a while to change his perspective on world around him and life values. Amazing person. I came across the guy once while walking around Lake Baikal in 2013. Anatoliy was his name and I have spent a night in his house, similar to the one in the video. Anatoliy lives in the most remote part of the lakeshore, it took me around 2 months to reach that place. At that point, he lived there for 52 years already, rarely meeting with other people, unless a boat with tourists came around. Anatoliy has frostbites on all his fingers which are almost completely gone. The area contains one of the biggest populations of brown bears and every night they come around the house, not to damage or look for food. I think they just come to wind him up as he is a part of nature there. There were claw marks all over the house but no damage. At night there was a lot of growling around. Very simple person and very friendly. He told me the story about himself and how he ended up there. As a young man (20 YO) he was already an alcoholic and during the winter in Listvianka, he and his mate went drunk outside. His friend died that night frozen to death and Anatoliy was found almost frozen, lost all his fingers and almost his arm. He decided to leave the world of people and move to the wild, where he remains until today I hope. I was given very useful tips on how to predict the rain according to how ants behave, how to avoid bears, and what to forage. Also warned me of the poachers which I encountered later during my trip. I would love to go back there and learn more from him. Such a simple yet very wise person.

He did more in one day than I’ve done in six months. Chopped wood, warmed his home, collected fresh water, made two meals, fed his pups, and performed two songs (one of which featured one of the pups). This as a russian bedtime-story. A long time ago, a Russian child lived in poverty with his family. His entire family died and he moved to the forest to live in isolation. He had to chop wood every day to keep warm. His only friends were dogs with whom he shared his food and warmth, sang songs and waited for summer. He patiently awaited the day when he would die and see his family again. The end. Kinda feels bitter sweet. Strange how it feels like we all have more stuff but so little from life.

Music is the tool of Lucifer, master of darkness. Also Chief of Music in heaven. Since the bible never says they replaced him, he works his magik through instruments. Do not use the tools of the devil. Praise your voice only, and sing in harmony to G_D. For this is the pathway of all those (Amongst you) who were fashioned by allah using mud. A new, darker power is here now. No its not your silly little jesus either. The world missed that chance a long, long time ago. He is here now. The Antiphenom. The whore prophet. The soothseeker. Sounds like a modern day Richard Proenekke. I see a lot of people here saying that this man needs this and this man needs that. I think he’s doing just fine. We shouldn’t project what would make us comfortable onto this man. He obviously does not value the same things. I think he values solitude and self-reliance and a connection to nature. Maybe listen to the song that he sings at the end.

Amazing man. How wonderful that people thought to bring him gifts.
My goodness this guy has such willpower and inner strength to live on the edge of what is humanly possible. He has such a tough life, with no luxuries and has to work so hard for every crumb of food or drop of drink. It is inspiring and it was touching to see the cameramen give him a few very valuable resources. Wonderful heartwarming story and make you realise how lucky most of us are,and makes you appreciate this more and not take it for granted. Major respect and love to him! Andy

@@austindenotter19 What do you mean he’s not working hard if you put it in perspective? He built his entire house, acquires all his food himself (or worst case goes 5 HOURS to a village), retrieves his own water, gets wood everyday to heat his home, all while living in extremely cold temperatures and around dangerous animals like bears. He is most definitely a hard working and strong willed man.

@@freezinboxing I just said his journey has importance to his soul. Or did you just react instantly to something you didn’t read from me? I’d hope if I died and my children were somehow alone, that somebody would give my children grace, protection and community. I hope they won’t be lonely and just in survival mode for the rest of their lives… and if they were, I’d hope somebody wouldn’t idolise their suffering and loneliness. I’d hope nobody sees their survival as being “satisfied”.

Samuil said at 9:57 "if I had a proper window it wouldn't be so cold inside the house". With nearly 1,000,000 subscribers and income from this channel, that should surely be enough to pay for and install a window. Many people would also donate to a gofundme for this individual.
