On a very warm day a couple months ago, I took a very informative tour of the monolithic operation that is the ODI Grip factory. They literally churn out grips 24 hours a day, five days a week. Unreal. So please sit back and get ready to absorb some info with ODI rider Mike "Hucker" Clark and ODI Brand Manager Colby Young. And yes, you can win that grip package (I believe they have a few of them)...just enter a photo of your favorite place to ride and hashtag #odisummerspot
WHAT IS OUR BMX?!
In short, we are the Ride BMX staff out on our own. We're building from the ground up and our goal is pretty simple. We want to continue what we love. We want to create great content, feature awesome riders, and contribute, push, and show why we love BMX. We sincerely appreciate any and all support... -Ryan Fudger, Jeff Zielinski, Adam Watkins, and Justin Benthien.

If they weren't in California I would totally want a job there, but I'm at least glad to know my grips are being made stateside in what looks like a really nice factory.
The science behind something that seems so simple, is crazy.

good to see all the recycling and sustainable design. A signature recycled colourway would be killer, and a bit of a mystery as to what each grip'd exactly feel like.

ODI grips are highest quality and performance, I run their "O" grips on all my bikes, and have a bunch of spares. Every single grip is flawlessly molded, and the design itself functions perfectly -- not too firm, not too soft.
Great video! Industry insider features are great. Hope to see more of these from you! Also funny thing with all the Huckers around the plant.
This is awesome. Please do more videos like this!

I am a Mountain Biker and this popped up so awesome to see how they make the grips I use well close since these are BMX but still cool. Also to be honest a slightly shorter set with out the flange and lock ons would be sick on a trail bike
This is an amazing look into how much work goes into making the grips, even more amazing is the factory is here in the US

Cult Ricany grips are the best ever.
My first Odi grips were in the 80s. Odi mushrooms. They were black. Hard to beat a odi grip
do you guys do collaboration grips?
Odi the best grips of all time other than the vans grips
блин наборочный набор топ просто!)
Do you just pay all the Huckers one paycheck? I mean technically it’s the same person right? Eco friendly!

#ODI grips hucker.
I wanna work in a bmx factory but where tf are the factories. Those CnC machines are sick asfk hollyyy shhiii btw i Love the Primo Grips
How are profile cranks made?
I think ODI should bring back the ODI Ruffneck grips
I bet it make a cool looking grip if you just made all the mixed recycle colors into a grip
I miss the ati pistol grips

Odi should have people send their old grips in

Recycled grips turn into packaging that goes into the landfill?
@OurBMX
Жыл бұрын
Opposed to just going to the landfill right away, yes. That’s how recycling works.
Just send me all the grips that wasn’t good enough
Hey just keep making longnecks and everybody will be happy
Its pretty cool how ODI makes grips for brands and lets sell them with their brand on it. Instead they could just corner the market!
packaging ends up in the landfill.

You would have to send it to china to let them build for them to get the specs they want drawings and specs on simple hydraulic valve but you know they cheap it out on what they build
Hate to break it to you but just because you don’t put them into the landfill doesn’t mean they don’t end up there

Dude, no shit. The concept here is that the processes they have in place create LESS waste. You know, like instead of throwing a plastic cup away and getting another one, you just reuse that cup. So instead of two cups in the trash, there's only one. Ya'lllll are so dense sometimes...
