Wow after 5 years of working on a BMX race bike i am still learning stuff thank you!
Barry that was PERECT!! Ive been racing and wrenching for over 30 years, maintain my 20 team racers bikes and do a lot of trackside repairs everywhere I go. Every little detail you do I try to push on all the parents at the track when they ask for suggestions. Most roll there eyes and doubt any of it can make that much difference. Every little detail adds up a lot. I use a full bottle of chain oil in a couple weeks because I cant handle the sound of dry chains. "Excuse me little bro, can I give you some free speed on your bike?" You actually do a better job than some mechanics I've worked with in the past.LOL KEEP UP THE GREAT VIDEOS MAN, I LOVE THEM!!
This is the best bike maintenance video I’ve ever seen- thanks!

Thanks very comprehensive video and that bike is nicee
I'm 57 yrs old. Bought a 20" Redline for $550 the other week when I was feeling nostalgic. Haven't ridden a bike since High School 1984. The Redline Asset HD is thick and reinforced. I think it was a good choice but for a much skinnier man. I plan on giving it away to my Trucking dispatch manager. Next acquisition will probably be a SE Perry Kramer Ripper 27.5" but I want the Aluminum finish. SE only has black this year. Much bigger bike. Have ridden a SE Big Ripper yet it doesn't have the BMX feel to it. Too big a tire. Have a OM Flyer 26, but it felt too small. I weigh 280 pounds. I'm working on lowering that. 30 yrs of driving truck didn't keep my high school physique. 😑
Thanks for another vid
Looks feather light 😍

I'd stay away from any kind of spray cleaner or oil on my bike. It just gets everywhere and it tends to be a mess. I only use Muc-Off products for cleaning and they make dry and wet lube for your chain that has suspended ceramic particles and UV fluid so after you drop 1 drip on each link you hit it with the UV light they provide and see if you got every link and also see if it got into the rollers (rollers are really where you want that lube). For cleaning my chain I used the Park Tools chain cleaner, it does such an amazing job and its super easy to contain the mess so if you're running disc breaks it doesn't get on the rotors.
Thanks
Great video... after cleaning out the brake cable, give dry graphite powder lube a try. It works really well and will not attract any gunk.

cleaning it in anyways is better then not at all
I normally use diesel fuel to clean the chain it gets all the grime out
That's funny I busted a clip on mine at a clinic with Tyler Brown.
Pipe cleaners work good for cleaning your quick release and your cog area in case you have never tried before
