I think we should take a moment to appreciate the people who see they can't take proper care of their animals, so they make the emotionally devastating decision to surrender them. Rather than letting them go into decline. That's love. ❤ they are heroes too.

Angela, you do an incredible job handling surrenders and not making the people feel terrible about what they're doing. Hopefully, word will spread and others will choose this option rather than auction. And Sarah, I know you are stoic, but I could tell how sad you were to say goodbye to those three, especially the baby ... your strength is an inspiration. You did all you could.

Great to see everyone and glad Titan is back instead of having to travel and transition. Lives change, especially right now, so glad he is back in your care. Farrier needs a name tag until a custom shirt is available. How bout long sleeve for Xmas present so he stays warm.😀 Shame three didn't make it. I'm sure it's difficult to love on them and have to let go. You did the best under Doc care. They won't be forgotten. Take care and stay safe. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hello from Ohio. We have a farm and have a huge heart for animals. I have a suggestion regarding horse manure: there may be an interest in your area to use manure for fertilizer/compost. For a donation folks may want to use your mature which would benefit your rescues. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for going through the heartbreak to see the horror at the auction and then the courage to give the last act of kindness. Ive been there with companion animals many times. Sad but totally the right thing to do. What an honor it is to be with them in those last hours knowing that you can relieve them of horrible suffering. I’ve been in the rescue world for 2 decades. Served as the Finance Officer (expenses, donations etc), Marketing Director, Foster Family (love the bottle babies) and Adoption follow up Team Leader … with that said, I’ve seen all areas of being in a rescue setting. I’ve seen the abused and neglected animals. I’ve also handled the medical bills that go along with the care the animal needed. And then to hear how they are settling in their new and hopefully forever home, it’s so rewarding! WHAT I SEE with your organization (which is not common) is how you work well with OTHER rescues. So often rescues can get ornery and what’s theirs is theirs. Even if it would benefit the animal to be with a rescue who has more time for their care, they would instead hold onto the animal. No reason other than it becomes a ‘possession’ in so many ways. I truly appreciate how you offer grants to other rescues so they can continue with the good work they are trying to do. After all - it’s about the animals! That whole ‘idea’ can get lost sometimes in rescues. I’ve seen it happen over and over again. So - a big thank you to Horse Plus for seeing the big picture! ♥️

R.I.P. to these beautiful animals who tried their best and can now run free in pastures of green. Its awesome that y'all had so many horses that got new homes and got many more to replace the 1s who cant keep the 1s they had and knew U can take better care of them and give them a chance at a awesome life .

Please, please, please when you fill the gas containers for your other equipment on the farm, place them on the ground when you're filling them. The static electricity caused by the gas flowing into the containercan causea spark and if the container isn't grounded an explosion could occur. If you need help lifting them into the back of the pickup once they're full, get help from someone instead of filling them in the truck. You are such an awesome person, nothing bad should ever happen to a good person like you. Thank you for everything you do to rescue horses, ponies and mules, God bless you guys! ❤

LOVED THIS EPISODE! Very interesting and well rounded. It was a joy to listen to everyone and hear of all your successes, replacements, and sadly even the horses that need their final act of kindness. The shopping spree and even the manure spreader was fun to watch. Horse intakes were nice to hear more about. (I especially liked to hear of why the return of the mare and that the owner cared enough to not want to put the mare through another breeding.) Your grant program sounds wonderful, and it's also so kind of you to take in needy cats. Busy,busy...but we can see how your great management skills are making all the difference! Rooting for more volunteers, and hoping Cory can get all the help he needs to complete the building in time. It'll be fantastic! As Roy Rogers & Dale Evens would sing, "Happy Trails To You" !!

That was a nice touch. Adding the names of the donors to the new muck spreader. 🙂

Oktoberfest a southern celebration? Ha ha ha ha. It started in Munich, Germany as a traditional beer festival and of course branched out to other parts of the world. It also starts at the end of September for about 16-18 days. But aside from that, I love your channel and all that you do. You can certainly see how every member wants to work at the Shelter and it shows. You guys rock! More people should watch your episodes as you can learn so much.
