Keith is a lovely person. He is always so calm and nice to everybody. I will miss Odin.
So glad Odin has had love and help until he decided to leave. They know- my beloved dogs and cats have always ‘let me know’. Thanks for making the heart hurting decision.

I’m just at this point with my 13yo GSD i know it’s coming any day now & im closely watching and waiting for her to give me a sign that she is ready but every time I think it’s the end she comes fighting back. Her back legs are gone so makes her look bad but when she hears the dog next door (her nemesis) she is the fist to launch herself at the fence barking! I’ve noticed she has separated herself from our 10yo & 14mo GSD’s and I have read dogs in the wild do that 😢 she is still excited at dinner time & takes off out the door when it starts to rain. She loves licking fresh rain water for some reason & loves being out in the rain. It probably means heat relief for her on a hot humid day!
❤️ dr. Nancy. She is a no nonsense animal lover that has focus on both today and the way forwards. And the grit to take the hard decisions for the wellfare of the patient. I know the job gets to her, as we have seen her choke up when the only right thing to do is to give the last act of kindness. It is hard, and we love you for enduring it. ❤️🇧🇻

Totally agree. Mum was here on the weekend and we had YT on, and I was showing her this channel and said that this is the rescue that I support - even though its in the USA and Im in Aus, I love the ethics, the work done, etc etc - and there was Kory working with one of the mares in a video... little bay mare, shoot, her name has slipped my brain at the moment - mustang that he hadnt worked with for a bit and he had brought back in and she did remember but took a little while... Anyhow - he was working with the fetlock rope on the hind leg. Mum asked if that was normal? I said thats what Grandpa used to do, and how he also taught me all my life til we moved away (though went back often) - (Grandpa would teach each horse to lead by a fetlock (you never know when they might have a broken jaw or massive head injury...) and to tie up by a fetlock (obviously after they learn to give to the pressure etc) and not to panic - how handy is that when caught in a fence or a tree or something? They go "Oops stuck, Ill wait til Im rescued" I said to mum that I really like Korys methods - he reminds me so much of Grandpa. Tis a shame Kory isnt 50 and on the 'looking for love' wall lol Oh and doesnt want to import a rescue who is a lame, barren draft mare but has wheels that are 4wd and can be useful on the computer and camera with the hands. hahaha I am open for adoption! lol

Oh Odin, you could really see that he didn’t want to try again. Sometimes the tough decision is then the best one you can do. And that’s the biggest love for the animal! All these adoptions made me so happy, to see how happy the adopters were! I really love the kind lady that often came back to adopt the blind horses. She has a big dream with a blind showjumper and I really hope she will get there!

So viel Liebe in ihren Augen. Ich wünsche mir so sehr , diese Tiere müssen NIE mehr wieder due Erfahrung machen , ungewollt, ungeliebt und verstoßen zu werden.
I believe Odin was finally at peace and could relax and let go. Thank you for your care and concern for him.❤
Very curious to see the farm where the young lady takes all the blind horses. She seems so very dedicated and positive to get the best for the blind horses and give them a sense of purpose. I would love that too! She has really opened my eyes to blind horses and I would definitely adopt a blind horse now! Unfortunately I lost my Percheron x QH last October. These previous owners do not appreciate how lucky they are to have these beautiful gently giants & it breaks my heart to see any horse I’ll treated! 😢

Kori is so good with horses. To always takes the time the horse needs. To have the same language on the ground and on the back is more logical for the horse. Was happy to see so many dog adoptions. You hear so much barking on all the videos now. They must really have a full dog house, so to speak. Was a little shocked that the one was not neutered first. The couple who got him seem like they'll be a responsible loving home though. Maybe Horse Plus knows these people and that's why they allowed the unneutered dog to go? Don't know. Yes I wondered why Garrick isn't their farrier now..I know why Jessie..Maddy..and Sarah went..and rightly so..they were good friends with a horse buyer and was going to auctions with him to buy horses..when confronted the girls especially Jessie said she thought they should work with horse buyers more and was quite critical of horse plus!! I personally never took to Jessie..but I liked Sarah and I think she was led astray by Jessie as Sarah had been with horse plus from the beginning of the KZread chanel..and she was a lovely girl but trusted the wrong person..
Odin put up a brave fight but it was just too much for his hard worked body to take..so Dr Nancy gave him safe passage over the 🌈 bridge..Fly high shine bright big guy..you can now run free without pain..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👏🐎😒😭🇺🇸

As farmers in rural Queensland, Australia. Just because there’s a full time vet doesn’t mean everything gets done to other’s perceptions. There are many equine - horses, donkeys etc! They did say go to their vet and they would pay for neutering. Most days, morning to night, and we still have work not done that day. Be careful to think of the overall plan rather than focus your keyboard on negative views. Blessings 🦋🦋

Truly, I was surprised, I thought that HPHS always neutered before releasing an animal even if it's pending adoption; I didn't really understand the discussion about neutering fee - my thought was maybe they are local and will be bringing the pup back for the surgery in the near future?
@oldageisdumb
Жыл бұрын
@@Angharadz2 They took a deposit of $25. When the adopter gets the animal neutered/spayed they bring back proof and are given their $25 back. This is the first time I’ve ever been really disappointed in HPHS. That $25 is not going to influence people to spay/neuter. They have a vet that could have altered that dog in 15 minutes (yes, it is that quick… go watch a low cost spay/neuter facility whip through 15 dogs in one morning) but they chose to adopt him out with basically no incentive to get it done. I run a rescue in the south and there is no excuse. If they are just going to add to our dog over population problem then they need to stick to horse rescue.
Keith is like me he loves all horses I see it every episode.

I know they used to say they were spayed/neutered before adoption. I sure hope they didn’t skimp out on that policy. Any reputable rescue would NOT adopt out intact dogs/cats… I’d love to know what the excuse was to adopt Bo out still intact. Cutting corners?

Science has improved and shown us NOT to neuter before growth plates close. This creates much thicker and stronger bones that are less likely to need surgery later for hip, knee or spine issues. We also know that early neuter places a huge burden on adrenal glands and the thyroid gland. Early neuter also increases the likelyhood of the most common dog cancers (lymphomas mast cells etc) by 4X!!! After intensive studies in many countries including USA, Australia, Uk, Canada and Sweden (or Switzerland? Lol) the consensus is pretty clear. WAiT to nueter until one to two years depending on the dog. Thesepeopke are vetted as dog owners and insure they are able to bring their pups back for neuter later. it’s in their adoption agreements I’m sure.
